We’re looking for a Staff Content Designer to help us build the next generation of web design and development products used by the best brands in the world. You’ll drive discovery, research, and ideation, as well as partner closely with design, engineering and product management to plan and execute on exciting new product experiences in Webflow.

  • The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

  • Reporting to the Director of Product Design

As a Staff Content Designer, you will: 

  • Partner with design, product, and research to build delightful user experiences from the ground up and shape the product roadmap
  • Build key partnerships and drive holistic content strategies that improve approachability and coherence for various user groups on our platform
  • Architect user journeys to enable users to understand and make informed decisions that result in better performance for their projects
  • Continually elevate the craft of content design in terms of clarity, education, usability, and delight, as well as share your expertise throughout the product development process
  • Lead and develop our Content Design team and practice, including developing frameworks, guidelines, audits, and processes to help define and improve product content at Webflow

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role.

About you 

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Are genuinely energized by software products that enable creativity, ingenuity, and empowerment for professionals of all scales.
  • Have previous experience with software that empowers professional or technical users in their respective industries.
  • Are familiar with the web design industry, web standards, data visualizations, and accessibility.
  • Have demonstrated experience building a content design practice from the ground up, and/or elevating the content design discipline in a remote environment.
  • Have a bias towards action working on complex products at a high growth, scaling company.
  • Good balance of big-picture thinking and sweating the details to ensure that the products that ship continuously exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • Care about the impact a high quality software experiences, and are comfortable with the business strategy side of things that drive real tangible growth.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication design skills.
  • Also possess any one of these qualities: a growth mindset, motivated to make things better, comfortable with ambiguity, a love of craft, and optimistic about the future.
