The Sr. Product Manager will be a key leader and contributor to the digital transformation of some of the Company’s most critical processes. As a member of the Finance Technology & Transformation group, this Sr. Product Manager will work with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Finance/Accounting, and other Business teams to implement highly scalable solutions and manage a portfolio of products for the next-generation global licensed sales platform capabilities and business deliverables at Fanatics.

What we're looking for and what you'll be doing

  • Reliable, analytical, and organized communicator with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience in working with product, engineering, design, and business teams in a complex and very fast-paced, technical business environment.
  • Solid product and project management ability to conceptualize and communicate product experiences in a global heavily consumer products-based industry.
  • Strong ability to document requirements and to use documentation to keep all stakeholders and tech teams organized and moving in the same direction.
  • A very strong, hands-on, and analytical approach to implementing a product meeting the needs of users or, where needed, building a new technical product from scratch.
  • Highly self-motivated with a drive to grow and learn from other product managers and other team members.
  • A deep desire to learn Fanatics business across all Fanatics operating companies; passion for learning & growth.
  • The ability to translate product vision into epics or stories and to understand business and operational processes as well as financial and operational KPIs.
  • Flexible, reliable, outgoing, and positive work attitude to work with globally dispersed teams.
  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across a global organization to deliver successful internal & external customer-facing products across our platform.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of our Fanatics users (internal & external), integrations, systems, APIs, marketing tools, platforms, and channels.
  • Work with our business partners, technology & data teams to understand platform capabilities and operations; learn how the platforms work and be the expert on the team who helps us get the most out of available capabilities.
  • Lead the ideation, development, delivery, and adoption of technology-oriented solutions that enable and support the expansion of our e-commerce and wholesale capabilities in an agile environment.
  • Understand requirements from stakeholders across the business (e.g., executives, partner managers, and other product teams) and integrate the requirements into the product roadmap.
  • Help drive product vision and roadmap that is built from corporate objectives set by leadership for our finance technology integrations.
  • Drive ongoing prioritization of projects, trade-off discussions, and communication of accurate timelines and status back to stakeholders.
  • Define and document features and communicate product requirements in ways that make sense in the context of an agile process.
  • Document use cases and scenarios to support requirements.
  • Support the day-to-day operations by triaging issues, providing production support, validating data, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Manage blockers and dependencies; co-own the project management aspects of the team with engineering leadership. This includes leading end-to-end product integration, development, testing initiatives, and cross-functionality.
  • Commit & deliver with great attention to detail and vigilance for following through on your work. Say what you will do and then do it. Be the person who just gets it done!

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management/ownership at an enterprise level, preferably in an agile product organization
  • 2+ experience within a licensed consumer product (e-commerce, retail, or wholesale) domain is preferred, as it helps showcase the ability to think through features specific to licensed consumer products, royalties, etc.
  • The ideal candidate has been the product owner for team integration and has a deep technical background leading tech teams.
  • Technical background and experience working directly with business, engineering, and design teams.
  • Capable of influencing, interacting, and collaborating with senior business leaders & executives as well as technical and design teams.
  • Confident enough in your product capabilities to question the status quo and make change happen within an organization.
  • Extensive experience in developing insight from analytics & BI to lead product initiatives and validation of their value proposition.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders to develop a clear strategy, prioritized roadmap, and go-to-market approach.
  • Basic project management skills to be able to manage the delivery of features.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Comfortable collaborating with local and remote Product and Engineering teams.
  • Strong track record of delivery with experience defining and shipping features that drive strategic business value.
  • Experience documenting technical product requirements, using analytics, and data to make product decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Scrum or Agile product owner experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across an organization effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a passion for technology.
