In this role, you will: 

The OpenTable Restaurant Product Team is dedicated to empowering restaurants with the tools they need to do what they do best, better. With our innovative OpenTable consumer products, we connect millions of diners with great restaurants, serving as the catalyst for meaningful and memorable dining moments.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to identify opportunities and drive the execution of outstanding features and product strategy for restaurants as part of the Restaurant Operations team. Our team provides restaurant owners and operators with a powerful, easy to use operational product to run a streamlined service and deliver personalized hospitality. Our all-in-one solution empowers restaurants to maximize seatings and get the most out of each shift.

You’ll work closely with restaurants, cross disciplinary team members, and executive stakeholders to set the vision, build, and launch intuitive and seamless solutions that power restaurants’ success.

You’re high-energy and enthusiastic about working with teams and delivering phenomenal products. You’re experienced in launching successful products and iterating on them. You love solving complex, detail oriented problems in a way that is easy for customers to understand. You are motivated and focused on results, working across multiple teams to align on goals and drive impact. You bring experience in product discovery, and a data and customer-centric approach that will push our product direction forward. You’re comfortable taking charge and leading teams to success on high visibility initiatives. You're eager to learn from failures - not just from successes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision and strategy through deep understanding of our customer and business goals

  • Lead the identification of user problems, technical development, and launch of innovative products

  • Align and connect with cross company stakeholders and executives on strategic initiatives

  • Iterate web and app experiences to increase engagement and satisfaction

  • Slice and dice data and contextualize it towards rapid growth

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog

  • Partner with UX and Engineering partners on discovery and development tracks

  • Constantly assess customer needs, technology trends, and major competitors

Apply if you have:

  • 5+ years in a product management role and work experience

  • Outstanding collaboration skills; ability to gain the respect of your product, design, engineering, and product marketing counterparts

  • Effective communication and influential leadership skills

  • Data-centricity; a deep curiosity of metrics, the ability to identify the right metrics and track and report back on impact

  • Creativity; you will have lots of fresh ideas and be hungry to test them and see the results

  • Experience shipping and leading full stack products and solutions

  • Experience with agile processes and lean methodology

  • Understanding of user experience design principles

Ideal candidates have:

  • Worked on a successful hyperlocal or global marketplace

  • User empathy and experience with running in-person user tests

  • Worked closely with sales teams, partnering with customers and translating feedback

  • Recorded product videos or demoed their work to large audiences

  • Any restaurant or hospitality experience or a passion for food is a plus
