About the role:

We are hiring a Growth Product Manager to join the Product team to work on SEO strategy, development of web page CMS platforms, and ultimately enable growth marketing efforts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing high-impact, data-driven marketing experiences that attract and delight new learners. You’ll contribute to initiatives that fuel organic growth, improve conversion and retention, and increase lifetime value. You'll work closely with the design, engineer, data, and marketing team members to learn quickly, ship quickly, and build scalable infrastructure to support long-term growth.  

This position is located in NYC and requires a minimum of 3 days/week in office.

You will:

  • Own our public website stack, introducing new users to Babbel and helping them to discover the right learning plan for their needs

  • Support both organic and paid marketing efforts through CRO and A/B testing

  • Focus on the outcome: translating company objectives into concrete team KPIs, and discovering+executing on user acquisition initiatives

  • Work closely with engineering and marketing colleagues to prioritize opportunities, define experiments, create prototypes, and implement solutions

  • Build strong partnership and collaboration with key product functions (Engineering, Data, Marketing) to discover, test, and release iterative improvements

  • Together with the Engineering Manager, maintain a product backlog to facilitate a constant stream of valuable work for the team; continuously improve the team’s ways of working (agile ceremonies, best practices, team agreement).

  • Comfortable navigating uncertainties and adapting to the changes expected in a fast-paced tech company

You have:

  • 4+ years experience in product management, working with agile development teams

  • A track record of delivering business value

  • Experience working in cross-functional environments, and fostering relationships with engineering, creative and marketing

  • Experience with launching and analyzing A/B tests for idea validation and iterative improvements

  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Contentful in particular)

  • Experience in driving SEO strategy

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

Nice to have: 

  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)

  • Experience in user acquisition and/or funnel optimization

  • Experience with B2C subscription businesses

Salary Information:

  • In New York City, the reasonable annualized full-time salary for this role is $100,000-$115,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
