What’s the opportunity?

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead the day-to-day development of SumUp’s stablecoin initiative - from proof-of-concept to go-to-market readiness. You’ll work across engineering, legal, regulatory, and commercial functions to explore how this emerging tech can solve real-world problems for millions of merchants.

What you’ll do

• Lead product development of SumUp’s stablecoin initiative from early-stage discovery to proof-of-concept and beyond
• Coordinate technical validation by running multiple POCs with Engineering to explore 2–3 implementation paths and guide architectural decisions
• Own cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Regulatory, Risk, Compliance, Banking and other internal stakeholders to secure in-principle approvals and support go-to-market readiness
• Drive vendor due diligence and support negotiations with potential external partners
• Work with Product Design to deliver a simple and trusted user experience
• Define operational requirements and help shape support models, risk controls, and back-office processes
  Maintain alignment through weekly business reviews and structured communication with executive sponsors and internal teams
• Champion clarity and focus in a complex and ambiguous environment

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally in fintech or infrastructure
• A track record of working across multiple stakeholders (legal, tech, compliance, commercial) to deliver results
• Experience scoping and running proofs of concept
• Ability to define product specs, collaborate with engineering, and manage execution across teams
• Strong curiosity for digital assets, crypto, or financial innovation
• Clear, structured communication — both written and verbal
• A founder’s mindset – ownership, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity
• Calm under pressure, with the ability to make decisions in complex environments

Nice to have:

• Exposure to stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure, or crypto products
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance frameworks in financial services
