By combining tools like billing, contracts and client communication, HoneyBook helps business owners get organized so they can provide top-tier service at every step. HoneyBook is trusted by independent  businesses across the U.S. and Canada who have booked more than $5B in business on our platform. Every day at HoneyBook we are on a mission to empower the freelance economy to rise together, doing what they love.

Our award-winning culture is built on core values that drive everything we do, including putting people first. We know experience comes in many different forms, some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

This role will have a small scrum team to own and will report to our Principal Core Product PM.

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • First and foremost, help our small business customers manage and scale their businesses.
  • Own specific domains of our core product roadmap, focusing on improving the value our customers are getting when communicating and working with their clients.
  • Work with various stakeholders such as leadership, design, engineering more to define, prioritize, and execute on our core product strategy.
  • Partner with support, product education and product marketing teams on pulling invaluable insights on one hand and eloquently passing messages and knowledge across to our customers on the other.
  • Use hypothesis-driven product development to manage the lifecycle of a feature / opportunity (opportunity sizing, ideation, hypothesis development, designing, launching, analyzing, and iterating) to optimize adoption funnel performance.
  • Leverage data and customer feedback to constantly iterate on and improve the core product.

Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • Be a true leader. Take ownership of your team, build a strong team culture, and teach them best practices by getting into the weeds with them. You’ll be able to communicate your plan and influence not only your team, the leadership team, but also our entire company with persuasiveness and inspiration.
  • Be strategic. Work with leadership to define our core product priorities. Create a comprehensive plan with goals that align to the company’s mission. You’ll be tackling the discovery of new opportunities to activate and retain more creative small businesses.
  • Be data and research driven. Focus on how customers use our business management products through both quantitative and qualitative user data and optimize our platform to make it work the way our customers work.
  • Be an advocate. Customer empathy is paramount. Become our customers’ representative by living and breathing their needs and values while finding the right win-win solutions in the product.
  • Be a strong operator. Flawlessly execute on the details of your strategies to ensure product launches, feature updates, and other initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, with exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Be a connector. You will live at the intersection of product development, education and marketing, and focus on customer retention through creating value by adopting our core product features.

Here is what is needed:

  • 6-7 years of product management experience from top notch, Product-centric companies; a mixture of startups and larger companies ideal.
  • Startup CEO of a web app works for us too. You know how to run a business and have product sense.
  • Know product management best practices to garner results.
  • Must have a proven track record of launching and managing successful products in cross functional teams. You have the data insights to back up this boast.
  • SaaS product experience ideal, or experience working on a complex desktop app, in addition to mobile.

The good stuff:

  • Mission driven: You'll be joining more than just another startup—our members are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Impact: We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box-thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit.
  • Benefits + Perks: From wellness programs to open paid time off and exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees is foremost.
