
Playground is on a mission to build and enable a new generation of intelligent products, made to be shaped by their users from the ground up — bringing a participatory and data-first approach to real world AI/ML products.
We are a design-led team with backgrounds working for companies like IDEO, Google, Frog, Variable, and TouchSurgery at the intersection of design and intelligent systems.
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who will work closely with product engineering on FieldDay, WorkLens, and our internal tooling, making ‘AI, shaped by people’ mainstream.
Your work at Playground
- Collaborate with researchers, machine learning and software engineers to deliver magical user experiences.
- Work across all parts of the design process from qualitative/quantitative user research, through concept development, prototyping, production design, working closely with development teams, and design stewardship across platforms.
- Help shape and grow the design team and culture at Playground.
Things you will work on
- FieldDay, a set of interfaces and APIs that can become part of any AI product's pipeline enabling its users to shape, improve and personalise its algorithms.
- WorkLens, an in an intelligent photo+video platform for work. Capture, annotate, search, collaborate, and automate visual information. Built on top of FieldDay tooling, making anyone more productive with their camera and unlocking enterprise use-cases from quick workflow automations in e-commerce and logistics to automated visual inspection for industry.
- Support our customers like Canopy (Ford+ADT) and Rafael Nadal make the most out of FieldDay and WorkLens.
Requirements
- You embrace research as well as your intuition in your problem solving, and make your ideas tangible through design.
- You have experience designing for desktop and mobile applications using tools like Figma or Sketch, and you prototype your designs in tools like Framer, and Origami or in code using JavaScript or Swift.
- You have experience building and maintaining effective design systems.
- You design fluid, delightful, scalable products and embrace accessibility, internationalisation and localisation.
- You are excited about the world of ML/AI and being part of shaping the future of intelligent products.
- You thrive in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributing to product, design, business and engineering decision-making.
