The opportunity

We're hiring our first product designer at Marker.io.

You'll be building the design function from the ground up. You'll establish our design system, redesign core flows, shape new features, and set the standard for how design works here. This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to the CPO.

If you want real influence over a product used by 3,000+ companies, not just pushing pixels on a mature design team, this job is for you.

About Marker.io

Marker.io launched in 2016, founded by three friends with digital agency backgrounds who saw how painful it was to collect website feedback. We built a better way.

Today we're a team of 10, serving 3,000+ companies worldwide. Our HQ is in Brussels, but most of the team works remotely across Europe and the US.

We help digital teams deliver and maintain flawless websites. We're now expanding the core product into proactive website monitoring and adding AI capabilities to each part of the app, which is why we need our first product designer.

Your role at Marker.io

You'll own projects end-to-end: Discovery → UX → UI → Handoff → QA → Analysis.

Design foundation

  • Audit all UIs, flows, and journeys across the product

  • Build a complete design twin of Marker.io in Figma

  • Map all important flows

  • Define standards, spacing, UI patterns, and interaction logic

  • Align Figma with Storybook alongside engineering

  • Create v1 of Marker.io's design system

Onboarding & activation

  • Build and monitor Amplitude funnels and charts to track onboarding success

  • Create Amplitude dashboards to measure the success of new feature releases

  • Identify friction points and improve early "aha" moments

  • Redesign onboarding, workspace creation, and integration setup

Existing features

  • Simplify unclear flows

  • Test redesigns with users when needed

  • Deliver implementation-ready specs and conduct design QA

New features

  • Shape problems and constraints with the CPO

  • Create flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups

  • Clarify interactions, edge cases, error states, empty states

  • Support engineering throughout development

  • Conduct UAT on staging before release

Marketing alignment

  • Keep product visuals consistent across website, blog, and sales materials

  • Create or refine visuals for case studies, landing pages, and announcements

Who you are

  • High ownership, high urgency. You take ambiguous problems to production. You don't wait for perfect requirements. You dig, clarify, propose, and ship.

  • Strong UX craft. 5+ years shipping complex flows end-to-end. Comfortable information architecture, journey mapping, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI.

  • Systems thinker. You know when to move fast and when to invest in reusable patterns. You care about consistency and component logic.

  • Excellent async communicator. You express ideas clearly through docs, Looms, and Figma comments. Engineers get what they need without endless meetings.

  • Pragmatic and product-minded. You design solutions, not screens. You make product calls when needed and work within technical constraints. You use AI to move faster.

  • Finisher. Polish, QA, specs, and small visual fixes are part of the job, not optional extras.

  • Team amplifier. You help engineers, founders, and support think more clearly about design. You show tradeoffs, alternatives, and bring structure to decisions.

Technical requirements

  • Expert-level Figma

  • Experience with design systems and structured component libraries

  • Familiarity with front-end constraints (Vue.js, Tailwind, responsive layouts)

  • Experience defining tracking plans and measuring adoption (Amplitude)

  • Fluent English (French is a plus)

  • Comfortable working remotely

Bonus: If you can code, you'll move faster on visual tweaks and speak the same language as engineering.

How we work

  • Weekly cycles, continuous shipping. We deliver value every week. Big projects get sliced down. No multi-month efforts with ambiguous outcomes.

  • Minimal meetings. One daily standup, one weekly alignment. The rest is yours to manage.

  • Close to customers. You'll join customer calls, review FullStory sessions, and design from real needs, not assumptions.

  • Autonomous. You'll work directly with founders and engineering. We value trust and high-quality execution.

Our stack

Figma, Linear, Amplitude, FullStory, Notion, Vue 3, Tailwind, Storybook
