Senior Product Designer, Creator Scripting

Our Creator Studio product and Creator Hub lets anyone teach themselves how to code, publish, and monetize any experience imaginable-across any device-reaching millions of players across the globe.

As Senior/Principal Product Designer for Creator Scripting at Roblox, you will be directly shaping how Creators of all kinds and levels get started coding innovative and immersive experiences in Studio. You will design seamless scripting workflows, as well as AI powered and NL procedural features to make it easy for Creators to build using low code or no code. You will make building on Roblox fun, engaging and help people to gain confidence and expertise using our Studio product, as well as for users getting started with scripting in the Roblox app. This is a high visibility role, responsible for defining the core experiences that help developers and anyone with big ideas to have early success over time as they create experiences for the Roblox metaverse.

You Are:

• Experienced with 4+ years of professional career experience as a UX or product designer. You have a Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Instructional Design, or equivalent work experience.
• A Leader who manages design quality and cohesion across your area of expertise, while engaging with other designers to help them grow.
• Collaborative, sharing work early and often and encouraging peers to look for constructive feedback from their manager, partners, teams, and the Product Design team.
• A Systems Thinker that advocates for holistic and connected user experiences.
• A Problem Solver who has a tuned thought process that yields creative solutions to big challenges across end-to-end learning journeys.
• A compelling storyteller who can articulate new concepts clearly through verbal, written, and visual communication. You can communicate your ideas effectively through journey maps, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
• Investigative and inquisitive about product goals from both a company's and user's perspective, promoting a learning culture both within the Product Design team and the larger Roblox organization.
• Creative in innovating to produce designs and patterns that are cohesive with the rest of Roblox's products.
• Motivated and always expanding your skills by looking for new tools and techniques.

You Will:

• Create outstanding user experiences for a diverse global audience through seamless cross-product journeys, engaging learning experiences, and delightful interactions that align with our mission.
• Manage end-to-end feature design with an ability to translate technical capabilities into viable product features.
• Work with Design and Product leadership to determine feature roadmaps and contribute to the vision for Creator scripting in studio and in-experiences.
• Work with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and give concise feedback on planning and product direction.
• Partner with the Engineering team to provide a high-quality implementation of delightful product experiences.
• Work in close collaboration with the Design leadership team to evolve design processes and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration and innovation.
• Have opportunities to present your work to executive leadership.
