The opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a data-driven, craft-oriented Senior Content Designer to join our Monetization team within the Growth Area. Your designs will engage millions and motivate teams to buy and increase internal adoption of Grammarly while effectively communicating our brand's story and value. You’ll collaborate with a diverse, dynamic team of growth experts committed to innovation and experimentation. Your work will redefine how Grammarly’s AI capabilities are presented to professionals and students, strengthening our position as the leading AI writing partner.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, product designers, data scientists, and user researchers to design efficient growth systems and create new experiences that significantly boost revenue.
  • Partner with the Core Product team to effectively monetize new features, ensuring all users understand the value of our paid plans and are motivated to purchase.
  • Engage in rapid A/B testing and iterative improvements to optimize conversion rates, driving impactful changes based on data-driven insights.
  • Craft a seamless narrative for the purchase and expansion journey to maintain continuity in user experience and improve user satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand Grammarly’s strategic business objectives and user needs to proactively identify growth opportunities and contribute to a cohesive roadmap with your team.
  • Integrate user research and insights into your design process to ensure user experience enhancements resonate with our target audiences.

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in content design or UX writing.
  • Is comfortable working in Figma.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; can write short, useful, helpful, and engaging text without sacrificing grammar or quality.
  • Ability to learn new subject matters quickly—implementing feedback, giving constructive feedback, and positively contributing to a collaborative environment.
  • Can adapt between zero-to-one projects and iterative work.
  • Is highly curious about user needs, growth strategy, and business goals.
  • Experience with paid subscription models is a plus!
  • Is passionate about the AI and productivity industry.
  • Has a growth mindset and runs wholeheartedly toward a challenge.
  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is inspired by our MOVE principles: move fast and learn faster; obsess about creating customer value; value impact over activity; and embrace healthy disagreement rooted in trust.
  • Is able to meet in person for their team’s scheduled collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary to the hub where their team is based.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. 

United States: 
Zone 1: $205,000 – $250,000/year (USD)
Zone 2: $185,000 – $225,000/year (USD)
Canada: 
Zone 1: $148,000 – $195,000/year (CAD)
