The role

This is an exciting time to be joining GoCardless Product Operations. As the lead Product Operations Analyst you will be serving the whole of PD and its processes. You will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and management of operational metrics and processes, along with ownership of the tooling which supports these.

In addition to this you will help to drive and influence changes to PD processes, help teams balance efficiency with quality delivery, and provide valuable data points to help PD continuously improve the way we operate. In short, you will be an essential support point to each team, as we look to scale and improve the way we do things.

What excites you 

  • Own the investigation, review and improvement of operational performance in Product Development
    • Manage the design operational aspects of business processes and assist in their implementation and operation;
    • Ensure we continuously improve the efficiency and quality of Product Development through process changes and metrics review;
  • Create and manage key metrics
    • Design and implement best practice reporting metrics based on team and department based key indicators, performance and project milestones;
    • Utilise metrics to guide teams and the Product Development Function toward continuous improvement.
    • Interrogate metrics to develop a clear roadmap for operational improvement and excellence across Product Development
    • Create and maintain metrics for the Product Ops Analyst team and report on those to highlight our own success
  • Ownership and improvement of operational tooling in Product Development 
    • Manage and improve our project tracking set-up for Product Development (structure, set up, reporting, collaboration processes etc)
    • Investigate into tooling, where appropriate, to support operational excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders
    • Provide important updates to teams and stakeholders about Product Ops Analyst milestones, successes and challenges.
    • Esure the team, and stakeholders have the information they need to be successful
  • People management of the Product Operations Analyst team (currently 2 people)
