That’s easy. You Pleo it.

But what exactly is a “Pleo”, and how would one “it” it? Some good questions, with even punchier answers. That’s at least the logic of our brand new Product Marketing Copywriter (hey, you!).

We’re looking for a seasoned storyteller to join our Content team to help shape the Pleo product story – with all the trimmings.

Sitting at the intersection between the Product Marketing and Brand teams, it’s fair to say you’re probably the nerdiest copywriter in the Content crew – and we love ya for it. You’re in your element when knee-deep in complex data digging for gold that helps translate all that finance jargon into content that resonates with everyone (even your nan).

You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time. We’re transitioning from a strong company card offering to a full spend management solution, capturing spend wherever it happens through our series of time and pain-saving features that add value for employees. Invoices? Check. Reimbursements? Check. Mileage? You guessed it...

In short, Pleo is growing, quick – and at risk of becoming an absolute chonker unless you help us streamline our pitch.

Things you will be doing:

• Collaborating with our 10+ Product Marketing team to create simple messaging around the ever-evolving beast (not scary: think Alf) we call Pleo.
• Taking said messaging and turning it into compelling content in the form of webpages, blogs, collateral and beyond.
• Putting the words and logic to our Audience Framework – specifically, outlining how we communicate to our key customers we’re trying to target.
• Be a pivotal player in shaping the Pleo ToV – as we expand into new markets, build out more product experiences and bring Pleo to the masses.
• Data storytelling – Aligning with Data and Analytics teams to hypothesise and find tasty morsels of customer data that we can package up into reports, blogs and fun social media yarns (clear example: 34,000 McDonalds orders were made with Pleo last year in the UK alone – that’s a lot of Big Macs!)
• Aligning with the wider Content team on our key brand pillars, priorities and projects in editorial meetings.
• Researching. A lot of it. From competitors and businesses of note, to influencers and unintentional viral smashes. We don’t think good work exists in a vacuum – there’s lots of inspiration to be had out there.

Who you are

• An experienced copywriter with a passion for technical/SaaSy storytelling.
• You have a native-level redonks-good command of the English language (other languages are a bonus, though not mandatory!)
• Your copy capabilities hold no bounds! You’re as comfortable with writing reports and pitch decks as you are scripts, collateral, blog posts and websites.
• An esteemed and self-reliant project manager.
• Humble and fun attitude. No egos, please.
