What's it all about?

Within Visa, Acceptance Solutions leads payment acceptance innovation with scaled, modern technology and enabling programs across all payment types, channels, and platforms. Our solutions span face to face interactions, transit experiences, mobile payments, ecommerce and Internet of Things. Whether it is paying for your groceries at the corner store, tapping on a countertop, tapping to board a train in Kobe or Porto, paying on your mobile or ordering a hand-crafted good from another country on your computer, we enable it. We are focused on digital first capabilities and using the power of software to enable great consumer and merchant experiences. We go beyond enabling a transaction and seek to add incremental value to every transaction – whether by optimizing authorization rates, mitigating fraud and helping merchants operate in secure, tokenized environments.

The Global Urban Mobility Team is a product solutions team that forms part of Acceptance Solutions. We aim to make cities more inclusive, sustainable and prosperous by liberating the full potential of Visa technologies to build connected door to door journeys.

We work closely with a variety of internal and external customers, such as governments, transport authorities and operators, technology and financial partners to leverage technology that makes journeys safer and more convenient.

We are currently looking for an analytical and commercial manager to optimize the outcomes of key Urban Mobility implementations around the world.

Reporting into the Head of Delivery, the candidate’s responsibilities will be split in three main areas:

Support coordination of and champion the global project optimization delivery branch, working with the Head of Delivery and various global and market colleagues to identify, engage and optimize key global implementations, driving revenue generating and strategic outcomes for the project stakeholders. Establish strong internal and external partnerships. Working cross-functionally and in partnership with the regional product, merchant & acquirer and client service leads Deliver plans, reporting and case studies. Share takeaways across regions.

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Support the overarching GTM (Go to Market) strategy and support coordination of the optimization hub globally
  • Analyse, document and share the takeaways, problems, challenges and overall performance of key global Urban Mobility  implementations
  • Evaluate customer feedback and work with other Product and MSA leads teams to address concerns and find opportunities for improvement
  • Produce reports to summarize performance of solutions implemented
  • Develop the prioritization for and backlog for combined product development, ensuring plans and budgets are aligned appropriately
  • Support the transformation of ideas into practical concepts, timelines, and projects whilst considering the financial implications, marketing needs, and the overall objectives of Visa Urban Mobility
  • Explain complex issues and partner efficiently to reach a consensus in order to achieve the project objectives/success criteria
  • Responsible for driving the creation of arguments, case studies, implementation plan and materials for consensus across the organization
  • Ensure continuous improvement across the Urban Mobility solutions (inc aggregated products) portfolio to support revenue targets and forecasted profits with a focus on client and customer experience
  • Be responsible for and support the delivery of fixes, new features (or VAS integration), improvements or marketing campaigns
  • Respond to sophisticated issues, challenges and concerns related to product and VAS solution, pushing back and raising issues as required
  • Provide support and direction to regional product teams as required, incl. support with ad-hoc requests and ensuring right prioritization & global support of key initiatives based on annual planning and strategic outlook

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Has first-hand knowledge and experience of the payments industry, global trends, players, payments market and ecosystem. Good knowledge of Visa business and its products and services is a plus
  • Strong quantitative, organisational and analytical abilities
  • Has the ability to identify needs, see patterns and bring a strategic attitude and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Natural collaborator with ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams to get results, projects, and engagements to completion
  • Has experience coordinating sophisticated, cross-functional projects, and delivering results
  • Is an excellent relationship builder – collaborative, encouraging and flexible, with the ability to influence in a highly matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to break down complex work into concise, straightforward ideas, easily digestible for a range of senior leaders and internal/external partners.
  • Has a hands-on demeanour, feeling comfortable to roll up the sleeves and going into the detail, but maintaining a good sense of prioritisation and cutting to the chase quickly where needed
  • Flexibility to work as part of a global team, across different time zones, ability to travel internationally if needed
