About the Role

Nabr is seeking a Product Manager to define and execute against the consumer transaction experience for Nabr units. This includes:

  • Guiding consumers through the process of choosing between buying a unit upfront, or participating in LEAP, Nabr’s rent-to-own program.
  • Guiding consumers through the process of document submission, financial qualification, and contracting on their new home.
  • Selecting and collaborating with third party financial institutions to facilitate the consumer transaction experience.  

This role will entail a combination of product marketing, revenue operations, and product management functions. While you do not need to have a traditional tech PM background, we do expect you to have at least basic knowledge of residential real estate finance. Prior experience taking a consumer-facing fintech product to market is a major plus. While developing the product, you will own everything from communication with the consumer to evaluating the performance of Nabr’s different financial products.

In your first three months you will...

  • Evaluate and provide feedback on Nabr’s existing user flows and transaction assets
  • Develop a detailed product requirement document for Nabr’s transaction experience. working with a digital PM and internal subject matter experts
  • Identify feasible consumer financing parameters in collaboration with third party capital providers 
  • Execute against an alpha version of the transaction experience, including vetting and onboarding third parties for qualifying consumers
  • Test the alpha product with a cohort of early adopters of Nabr units, and make refinements ahead of launching to the general public
  • Develop consumer-ready comms regarding different financing options, in collaboration with the marketing department

Over time you will...

  • Deliver a seamless digital transaction experience for Nabr Units to the general public
  • Help establish Nabr as a trusted brand responsible for putting consumers on a path to urban home ownership
  • Manage the P&L of Nabr’s financial products, including:
    • Developing the optimal system for qualifying consumers for Nabr Units  
    • Monitoring performance of products over time, including Nabr’s LEAP program
  • Represent Nabr to investors and third parties involved in the transaction experience
  • Build out a repertoire of financial products, to ensure all Nabr residents have a path to home ownership  

Ideally you will have...

  • Subject matter expertise
    • Prior experience working on a consumer-facing fintech product—particularly one that constitutes a significant financial purchase for the consumer
    • Working knowledge of residential real estate finance, including the underlying economics, players along the value chain and, the different options that are available to consumers today
  • Functional expertise
    • Comfort working across disciplines ranging from product marketing to revenue operations to to product management.
    • Deep empathy for consumers—and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to a lay audience.
  • A can-do attitude—no task is too big or too small, especially in Nabr’s early days
  •  Comfort with uncertainty, and a demonstrated ability to adapt to company needs
  •  Passion for using technology to improve the built environment, particularly with regard to sustainability and affordability

Bonus points for candidates who have prior experience living, working, or selling to Bay Area consumers.
