About the Team

Drive is DoorDash’s white-label delivery-as-a-service platform, and is one of the fastest growing segments within DoorDash. Its purpose is to realize DoorDash’s mission of empowering local businesses everywhere, by expanding access to DoorDash’s delivery capabilities. With Drive, merchants receive orders through their first-party channels (leveraging their own brand identity and voice), and utilize DoorDash’s delivery fleet to fulfill the order. Drive powers delivery for businesses small and large, from local neighborhood restaurants to national brands with thousands of locations.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Design Manager to own the user experience for DoorDash’s Drive products, which serve our merchants, Dashers, and developers. You and your team will be tasked with designing new use cases for delivery, tools to help our merchants realize more value and efficiency from DoorDash, and our developer experience through which our partners integrate.

As the Product Design Manager for Drive, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Product Leadership – You'll partner with peers in Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Research, and more to define a shared vision and roadmap for the Drive team.
  • Team Mentorship – You'll coach designers on your team, providing both project feedback and career guidance, creating opportunities for your team members to thrive.
  • Hiring – You'll partner with our recruiting team to find, attract, interview, and hire new designers for your team.
  • Operations - You’ll define how the team works in order to increase efficiency and quality design execution.

You will report to the Head of Merchant Design. Once our offices reopen, we expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Contribute directly to product strategy and define the future of our products and services
  • Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity and chart a path forward
  • Recruit and mentor an outstanding team of designers and managers
  • Influence the team's approach to product development, shaping both the organization and our processes
  • Improve the livelihood of DoorDash users and partners every day

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 7+ years of product design experience
  • You have 2+ years of experience managing successful product design teams
  • You're an advocate for product quality and user-centric product development
  • You engage your cross-functional partners and proactively initiate new programs
  • You're comfortable working within complex product ecosystems
  • You're enthusiastic about collaboration and team-building

Why You’ll Love Working at DoorDash

  • We are leaders – Leadership is not limited to our management team. It’s something everyone at DoorDash embraces and embodies.
  • We are operators – We believe the only way to predict the future is to build it. Creating solutions to lead our company and our industry is what we do on every project, every day.
  • We are learners – Everyone here is continually learning on the job, no matter if we’ve been in a role for one year or one minute. We are committed to learning and implementing what is best for our customers, merchants, and dashers.
  • We are one team – The magic of DoorDash is our people, together making our inspiring goals attainable and driving us to greater heights.
