We are looking for an experienced Principal User Researcher. You will be a core member of Personio’s Research team, reporting to the Head of Reserach and closely partnering with Personio’s design and product leadership to shape the future of our products. You will be accountable leading large scale research and both coaching and working with a world-class team of researchers, developing market and UX research programs and frameworks that help to deeply understand customer’s needs and expectations, and build a delightful user experience. You will present insights in a compelling way to help shape product strategies and de-risk product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Foster an open and collaborative culture based on trust
- Drive toward team goals and expectations focused on mutual accountability
- Provide actionable feedback and support to develop and grow researchers
- Maintain an understanding of the research projects being worked on by the team
- Develop the research toolkit and build team workflows that will ensure research quality and team efficiency
- Demonstrate and teach others how to apply a range of research methods, understanding the balance and trade-offs between scrappy research and rigor
- Communicate, advocate for, and socialize actionable insights in a compelling way
- Partner with XFN to guide product development and refinement, understanding their strategies and needs, discovering roadblocks, and prioritizing research
- Actively contribute to Personio’s Insights team culture, processes, and documentation
- 12+ years of research experience in the field of market and user research with a proven record of driving change through research insights
- Proven understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Experience in scaling and evangelizing user research within the broader organization in creative ways to increase empathy
- Outstanding communicator both verbally and in writing
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
- A strong desire for creative problem-solving, tolerance for ambiguity and excellent time-management skills
- Preferred: PhD in Sociology, Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Political Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: Experience at a scaling or scaled, enterprise-company

$210,000/year to $240,000/year + equity + benefits
