Pipe

Pipe is building cutting edge embedded financial solutions to help small businesses and software companies build something bigger - the most friendly capital, card, spend management solutions for small business in the market. VSaaS and Enterprise platforms launch rapidly (weeks, not months), with minimal integration effort and proven downstream impact on growth and success of their customers.

We’re a remote-first team of problem solvers who build and ship at a high velocity. We’re customer obsessed and leave our egos at the door. If this sounds fun, join us!

🎭 Role

As a Principal Product Manager, you’ll set the strategic direction, define the roadmap, and lead the market success of Pipe’s Capital product in the U.S. This is a high-impact leadership role, in an exponential growth, early stage environment. It requires a deep product and credit fluency, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record bringing new financial solutions or financial SaaS products to life inside complex partner and regulatory environments.

📽 Responsibilities

  • Growth Leadership: Own the product strategy, P&L outcomes and execution for Capital, driving significant merchant adoption, partner success, and sustainable growth.
  • Drive Commercial Outcomes: Partner strategically with Risk, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to enhance product-driven metrics (originations, conversion, retention) through thoughtful design, partner enablement, customer insights.
  • Squad Ownership: Lead and collaborate daily with a dedicated front-end engineering squad. Set clear priorities, define the squad’s roadmap, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of capital product flows.
  • Merchant and Partner Focus: Be the voice of our customers and partners, driving qualitative and quantitative market feedback into high-impact roadmap initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate closely and continuously with Engineering and Design teams to deliver products rapidly and iteratively, while partnering deeply with Legal, Compliance, and Ops to ensure compliance and scalability.
  • Culture Carrier: Help to set the tone for speed, collaboration, customer-centricity.

🌈 Qualifications

Importantly, we care about business impact and exceptional leadership, less about any specific length of experience or title or certificate or degree. Talent comes from everywhere—if you think you’re a great fit, we want to hear from you!

  • Proven success in fintech, specifically in launching or scaling innovative financial solutions or SaaS products (e.g., credit products, embedded finance, B2B or B2B2B platforms).
  • Experience leading and shipping technical products at a fast pace, particularly in regulated domains or financial services.
  • Strong fluency in credit risk, underwriting, and repayment mechanics, and the ability to translate these complex concepts into intuitive and compliant product experiences.
  • Exceptional execution ability—proactive, decisive, pragmatic, able to unblock teams quickly, and comfortable progressing with imperfect data.
  • Clear, generous communicator who collaborates effectively across all levels and functions.
  • Comfortable with the velocity and ambiguity of a high-growth, early-stage environment.
  • Bonus: Prior experience designing or building APIs, particularly financial APIs embedded in third-party platforms.
