About the role

As a Lead Product Marketing Manager with vast expertise in segmentation strategy, you will be founding solutions marketing at Ramp. You will be responsible for the overall Ramp solutions go-to-market strategy owning the marketing segmentation model, buyer personas, marketed solution framework design, solution positioning and messaging, multi-product, persona, and industry marketed solutions, and solution sales plays.  

Additionally, you’ll partner closely with core product marketing, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive tremendous targeted growth of Ramp’s most valuable segments and ideal customer profiles through full-funnel marketed solution campaigns, growth marketing, sales programs, events, and content creation. 

The ideal candidate excels in combining strategic thinking, deep understanding of buyer personas and segments linked to business value and customer initiatives, and the ability to translate customer needs into compelling solution narratives. Your ultimate mission is to accelerate Ramp’s revenue growth by identifying the highest TAM segments and maximizing contribution profits through excellent solution marketing. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop Ramp's solution marketing function within product marketing
  • Build and maintain Ramp's segmentation model to identify valuable segments and ideal customer profiles to maximize TAM, CAC, and contribution margin
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends to create holistic buyer persona profiles
  • Determine top customer initiatives that lead to a need for Ramp and build the new marketed solution framework and bill of materials for Ramp solutions by thematic, persona, and industry
  • Develop and propose vertical or segment strategies to the leadership team and support building GTM motion for prioritized verticals or segments
  • Create compelling solution positioning, messaging, and value propositions to speak our customers' language
  • Build go-to-market strategies, sales training, playbooks, and customer-facing content for all key personas and solutions
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing and Brand team to build marketed solution campaign themes and execute integrated marketing campaigns
  • Partner with BDRs and AEs to fine-tune prospecting motions and drive more efficient pipeline generation
  • Partner with account management and solution engineering teams to deeply understand business value, align on Ramp value pillars, and build business value models and content
  • Build and manage relationships with key customers, industry analysts, and partners to gather feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Support pricing projects to evolve pricing models to align with new solutions

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product marketing or solution marketing at a high tech company, or similar
  • Experience crafting compelling solutions and product positioning
  • Outstanding executive communication, collaboration and influencing skills at senior level
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
  • Hands-on capability to create a range of marketing assets, including content, playbooks, events content, and succinct slide pitch-decks
  • Experience in founding and scaling a team, from communicating a clear strategy and driving concrete deliverables, to motivating and supporting a team with different focus areas
  • Strong skills in communication, presenting, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally
  • Established ability to successfully define and drive projects with minimal guidance
  • Proven track record of speaking in front of internal, and external audiences

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or BS in economics, computer science, MIS, or related STEM field
  • Experience working in hyper-growth startups and/or technology companies
  • Domain expertise in the financial and accounting software space

Compensation

  • The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role in NYC is $182,750-$215,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
