Modern Treasury is hiring a Product Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of our target market and buyer profiles through market research, customer conversations, and competitive analysis. By owning and delivering specific research projects, you will enable our growth and partnerships teams to deliver more leads and revenue.
We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, eye for detail, and an ability to produce comprehensive primary and secondary research. You will also be asked to quickly get up to speed on Modern Treasury’s products and value proposition. You must be able to turn your work into crisp and persuasive writing, either in the form of internal memos or external blog posts. It helps if you’re already excited about payments or API products, but prior experience in those areas is not mandatory.

Our tools automate the full cycle of money movement—from payment initiation, through approvals, to reconciliation—and are accessible through a web application and APIs. During your first week you will:
Onboard with our team.
Start learning our product inside out and backwards.
Develop an understanding of our two key customer personas.
Read our favorite industry primers.
Build an understanding of our customers, use cases and go-to-market motion.
During your first month you will:
Develop a detailed understanding of Modern Treasury products.
Understand our messaging, positioning and pricing.
Go deep on a customer persona or industry vertical.
Shadow customer calls with our sales and bank partnerships teams.
Work with the Growth team to define your research project.
By the end of your 12 week internship you will:
Create internal assets like memos, competitive briefs or presentations based on your research.
Publish your first blog post in the Journal.
Assist the Product Marketing team with persona research and pricing.
Prior experience in marketing, product management, business operations, banking or consulting.
Pursuing an MBA is preferred
BA / BS candidates with significant experience will be considered
