As Finalis continues to rapidly grow, we seek to bring on a skilled Head of Design.
We’re looking for
A hands-on and experienced product design leader who can manage a design team while helping to drive Finalis’ design strategy and the design roadmap.
A product design leader who is able to effectively communicate with external stakeholders and customers as well as internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into product designs and a design roadmap.
A product design lead who can work hand-in-hand with Product Management and Engineering to drive decisions and make trade-offs to drive forward progress.
A product design lead who values feedback and constructive criticism.
A product design lead who understands the difference between information design, interaction design and visual design, and can employ those disciplines to drive product value and user adoption.
A product design lead who operates in an open and transparent manner, and sets a standard for high quality communication.
Collaborate on our product vision, strategy and roadmap to create a design method and product.
Manage the internal design team and collaborate with external design teams.
Design visual concepts and key design assets across teams (e.g. prototypes, mockups, visual aids, etc).
Research and develop a greater understanding of our audiences and user journeys; iterating to keep our brand experience relevant and relatable.
Responsible for product planning, scoping, and execution across all product lines. You'll work across multiple stakeholders at Finalis to explore problem spaces and help define concrete projects for the product and engineering team to tackle to unlock Finalis’ growth as a business.
Engage closely with the Engineering team to determine the right technical path to take to achieve our long term product roadmap, make the right effort/return trade-offs, and manage the execution of projects to a reasonable implementation schedule.
Manage internal stakeholders to optimize the impact of product launches on business needs.
Identify market opportunities and refine a coherent vision and strategy within a product area.
Launch and develop new products on a regular basis.
Understand customer needs and gather product requirements.
The Head of Design reports to the Head of Product at Finalis.
We’re looking for
A degree in a visual or experiential design discipline or related field.
Five or more years of demonstrated experience as a senior-level designer/product.
Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded.
Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams and customers.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team-building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
An open and pragmatic mindset to make decisions according to each scenario and challenge.
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and with different stakeholders.
Be open to feedback, discard ideas for better ones, and value constructive criticism.
A strong portfolio showcasing brand experience across a range of mediums.
A deep understanding of brand design, visual hierarchy, information design concepts, typography, iconography, and color strategy.
Proficient with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
