Building a team starts with valuing the team. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. And you’ll be part of a culture where everyone feels supported.

We also value sports. Not just because of the big wins and highlight-worthy plays, but because of the lasting impact sports can have: the lifelong lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring mentors; the priceless opportunities to play at the next level. Sports can change lives—that’s what we value.

Our team helps the world see sports differently through products that make it easier to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and do a lot more.

Ready to join us?

The Hardware business unit is defining the future of automated capture and wearable technology at Hudl. Our software-enabled hardware cameras relieve some of the biggest burdens in the competitive sports world—capturing reliable, quality video. Our wearable technology and accessories unlock human performance data for elite teams—helping players stay fit, peak at the right times, and optimize recovery from injury.

You don’t need to be an expert in the world of sports, but you are passionate about changing customers' lives by developing connected devices that provide a competitive edge and save our users time.

As a content designer, you’ll be responsible for the strategic planning and production of written content throughout our product experience. You’ll work across teams on our hardware business unit to think holistically about connected devices, tell the story of our hardware ecosystem, inform messaging for unboxing materials, and partner with designers to craft intuitive user flows within the software.

You have a solid understanding of good content strategy and UX, and you know what it takes to develop hardware devices. You can clearly communicate feedback—on copy and design decisions, and you have a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to both think and write clearly and strategically.

Our flexible work policy means you can decide where you want to work: our Lincoln HQ, our Omaha office or remotely within the majority of U.S. states in the Eastern Time Zone (exceptions: Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Maine, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Vermont).

You are

  • Laser-focused on the user. You ground messaging in the user’s language and make sure you’re giving them the right information at the right time.
  • A designer. Your medium is just words instead of visuals. You practice design thinking and understand how to balance creativity with business needs.
  • Obsessed with writing. You know when to use an em dash over a semicolon and how “infer” is different from “imply.”
  • Detail-oriented. From button copy to tagging schema, you weigh every decision’s  impact on the overall experience.
  • Self-sufficient. You take the day’s tasks and prioritize accordingly, never backing down from tough to-dos, but comfortable asking for help when needed.
  • Not afraid to get your hands dirty. You’ll jump in at any stage of the design process, including research practices and strategic thinking.
  • Inquisitive. You know which questions to ask for a better understanding of the project and how content design can help.

You will

  • Work collaboratively. You’ll partner closely with Product Designers, Industrial Designers and brand marketers to solve user problems and tell cohesive stories.
  • Become an expert. You’ll work across multiple products and areas, using that cross-team vantage point to ensure consistency across different parts of the product.
  • Deliver quality content. You’ll create artifacts (messaging frameworks, content flows, etc.) to effectively and efficiently communicate your thinking to stakeholders.
  • Write clearly. You’ll provide copy for all stages of the process, from brainstorming to wireframes to final screens.
  • Contribute broadly. You’ll work closely with other content designers and producers across Hudl to ensure consistency of content across all touchpoints, from marketing to sales to support.
  • Shape practices and processes. You’ll bring your own expertise to Hudl, displaying content design value through your work and processes that optimize how we work as a team.

We will

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
