The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned subscription marketer to lead our Product Marketing team. The Director, Product Marketing is responsible for developing marketing strategies for all of TuneIn’s product and content offerings to both support the listener’s journey and to drive listening on all surfaces. The Director is an expert on TuneIn products and all of TuneIn’s audiences—listeners, content creators, distributors, broadcasters—with a 360 view of the ecosystem’s touchpoints. You are skilled in devising and managing B2B, B2C, B2B2C marketing strategies across all marketing channels. You love to connect the dots between product benefits and user needs to reach the right people at the right time with the right message.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the product marketing activities for multiple product lines, content genres, and distribution channels
  • Collaborate with revenue/distribution/content stakeholders and internal marketing teams to ensure revenue and listener/partner satisfaction goals are met
  • Develop target-specific personas and corresponding value propositions that build greater awareness and demand for TuneIn products and content among listeners
  • Articulate product positioning and messaging for target audiences, while differentiating TuneIn from competition
  • Monitor relevant industry trends to develop market insights that inform product marketing strategy and tactics
  • Translate a deep understanding of the competitive landscape into clear product marketing recommendations
  • Develop differentiated messaging and strategies for the features and benefits based on the target audiences
  • Work with the Product team to inform roadmaps and fully understand product features and benefits
  • Manage development of go-to-market plans for feature and content launches and orchestrate execution of plans including social media, lifecycle, paid media, and talent with cross-functional stakeholder group
  • Work with growth and lifecycle teams to build targeted marketing campaigns and offers
  • Guide and mentor less experienced members of the team

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/business administration preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing roles focused on subscription; at least 3 years direct people management experience
  • Experience managing content or product launches and other large projects
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop creative and consumer-focused marketing content
  • Strong messaging and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt messaging to various audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and project management skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • You have a positive attitude and are willing and able to go deep in the details while also being able to create and communicate higher level strategy
  • You are a self-starter and have the ability to build programs from scratch
