The Ads Data Engineering team sits at the core of building a data ecosystem that will power Netflix’The s understanding and decision-making about what impact ads have on our business. This team’s main focus is to build rich, connected, and easily accessible data about ad inventories, forecasting, targeting, and much more. Core data about ads is used across multiple business areas and functions, from getting informative analytics to feature development for statistical models. The scope of this team’s work is rapidly growing and there are many opportunities for impacting Netflix’s journey into advertisement. We need an experienced data product manager, with ad ecosystem experience, to help drive the team’s success in a quickly evolving business.

What will you do?

  • Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap that will help build data solutions for advertising on Netflix
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as other data science, engineering, legal, product, and sales
  • Champion adoption of and educate stakeholders on how to leverage data you make available
  • React to short term needs but build for the long term success
  • Drive execution of data projects spanning across data engineering, platform engineering, and analytics
  • Build a deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes and how they should shape data model design and impact adjacent systems. 
  • Champion a culture of partnerships and engagement with data consumers and producers

What do you know?

  • Professional experience with and interest in advertising, preferably on the sell-side or platform side.
  • Understand the modern ad technology ecosystem, including tracking, measurement, formats, serving, and 3P platforms .
  • Experience with privacy, compliance, and governance in the advertising space.
  • Comfortable with SQL to perform data analysis and drive insights from data.
  • Data Warehouse background and strong data analysis expertise.
  • Comfortable understanding big data tech stack, data pipelines, ETL.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $150,000 - $750,000
