At Personio we believe that understanding our users is core to creating meaningful, best-in-class, user experiences. To support us on that goal, we are looking for a UX Researcher to join our UX team and help us bring our software to the next level.
As UX Researchers our goal at Personio is to help our product teams make the best user-centered decisions and keep our users front and center at everything we do. We do this by collecting and connecting insights while collaborating closely with our colleagues in product & engineering as well as other customer-facing departments on finding alternatives to enhance our product experience.
The Product Platform mission is to enable the delivery of a high-quality product by providing cross-product components and services. The team focuses on fulfilling this purpose by building out the platform strategy for Personio’s product. We are an enablement team and strive to create secure, reusable, scalable, and extensible systems that make the beating heart of our product capabilities. Our work enables other teams at Personio to do more by doing less and creates more consistent user experiences for our customers.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Leading early discovery and scoping of new areas for our software
Use qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research to understand our customers, products, and competition
Work closely with your product teams to identify and prioritise research opportunities in a fast-changing environment
Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders across other product areas to provide a cohesive user experience across the whole product
Communicate insights effectively and help your product teams understand the goals, needs, and challenges of our customers and where our product fits into their workflows
Contribute to product strategy through user insights, so that our strategy aligns with the most pressing user issues and their solution
Help us improve our research infrastructure to increase our efficiency and enable others to benefit from research as much as possible
Educational background in psychology, media informatics, social sciences, interaction design, HCI, with an emphasis on statistics, research methods, design, digital products
Around 2-3 years of proven professional experience
You come in with a good understanding on research and testing methodologies
You know how to leverage low and high fidelity prototypes to get the user insights you need
You are a team player that feeds on your peer's feedback and thrive in a collaborative environment
You understand the technical constraints and capabilities of product development
You are an excellent communicator and present your findings effectively to engineers and UI designers
You are passionate about cognitive sciences and the processes behind human perception and behavior
You are very detail-oriented and empathic
Very good command of the English language (level C1) - any other European language is a plus (German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, French, ...) confident to conduct interviews in any of those languages
