About the job

This job is needed to power our product teams to deliver highly available and reliable products to all Twilio customers. Situated in the Platform Engineering org, this role will create and execute a product strategy to provide tools and services to teams within Twilio to drive higher resilience for external services we provide to our customers.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and use data to build a long-term resilience product roadmap
  • Ruthlessly prioritise features based on value proposition and be able to clearly communicate rationale 
  • Discover requirements for new features by working with internal stakeholders across all levels
  • Document requirements in the various formats used as part of the “Twilio Way”
  • Work daily with Engineering & UX to get deliveries & releases over the line
  • Create a product adoption strategy, complete with training/documentation solutions and business processes that enable internal stakeholders to get the most out of the solutions that we develop

Required:

  • To comply with Executive Order 14042, all Twilio employees working in the U.S. are required to submit proof of vaccination for COVID-19 unless they qualify for a medical or religious accommodation / exemption.  Employees onboarded after January 4, 2022 must submit proof of vaccination or receive approval for an exemption prior to their Twilio start date. 
  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with business intelligence, analytics, and data infrastructure 
  • Strategic thinker who excels at defining the product roadmap and specing out new features/product enhancements
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate both your point of view and that of your customers and stakeholders
  • You are curious, empathetic, and have a good sense of humor
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Desired:

  • Experience developing for large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with resilience initiatives

Location 

This role will be remote located within USA.

Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $105,728.00 - $166,144 
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
