We are now seeking an experienced Product Manager to join the team focused on developer self-service features in HCP Terraform. This is a crucial role with a specific focus on collaborating with the platform and application development teams to facilitate self-service capabilities, making it easy for developers to consume infrastructure. In addition, your role will encompass building capabilities that span products across the infrastructure product portfolio like HCP Waypoint that integrates seamlessly with HCP Terraform to provide a push-button self-service experience for developers provisioning infrastructure for their applications.
As part of this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to define the roadmap, detail product requirements, and support go-to-market efforts. You will also help set product strategy, conduct user interviews, and oversee execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
- Craft the product story by understanding the landscape, user needs, and HashiCorp principles.
- Own and improve HCP Terraform and developer self-service platform strategy documents to set the context for the product roadmap
- Prioritize the product roadmap by taking feedback from customers, ecosystem partners, engineering, marketing, and the HashiCorp vision.
- Conduct user research and write Press Release/Frequently Asked Questions (PRFAQs), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to distill the research into requirements for engineering to deliver.
- Work closely with engineering to write acceptance criteria for features and answer any questions they may have during implementation.
- Communicate product status to all partners and stakeholders. Keep sales and marketing updated on feature releases and keep engineering informed on feature requests
- Help with sales and marketing collateral to educate on the product story and features (Website copy, whitepapers, sales decks, FAQs, etc)
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of product management experience with developer-facing products
- 1+ years of experience with Terraform and one or more large cloud providers
- Familiarity with coding practices in modern programming languages like Java, Golang, Node, Ruby etc.
- Strong user and market research skills
- Ability to organize multiple stakeholders towards a common goal
- Analytical with the ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs
- Strong technical acumen, with a solid understanding of infrastructure, and developer tooling
- Comfortable talking to developers and platform engineers to work on product discovery

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$195,500—$230,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$179,300—$210,900 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$162,900—$191,700 USD
