Senior UX Writer - Payroll (m/f/d) - Location: Madrid, Munich, London, Amsterdam or Dublin

The Personio UX community brings together over 30 Product Designers, UX Writers, Service Designers and UX Researchers, each with their own unique mix of skills. We combine empathy, data, and creativity to make engaging and joyful user experiences to ultimately humanise HR into a people-oriented experience. 

Working in tandem with other design disciplines and connecting the dots between the product experience and Personio’s broader communications landscape, our UX writers/content designers use words, personality and information architecture to design experiences that simplify, humanise and delight our users. 

Sitting at the intersection of UX and UI, content strategy, integrated messaging and localisation, you will lead the charge on a variety of missions within a diverse range of business areas. Mix in behavioural economics, A/B/C tests, as well as engaging and inclusive storytelling, and you’ll find a community that’s pivotal to our UX advancements.

We’re looking for Senior UX Writers to write/design/collaborate on shaping key moments and intersections across multiple customer journeys, elevating our voice and tone across products and services within the Payroll Domain, and developing engaging, inspiring novel experiences. You will support your peers to rethink the way we and our partners create engaging content to shape the future of Payroll.

Your role and responsibilities will include:

• Define and deliver copy strategy that influences, expands, and translates the product into marketable narratives, compelling information architectures, and coherent messaging through detailed documentation to Product Managers and Engineers. Break down the complexity of product into a seamless and enjoyable experiences. 

• Work with UX Researchers to make sure we’re focusing on the right problems and opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with other UX Writers, Product Designers, Service Designers and UX Researchers to iteratively design and improve our product. 

• You will shape end-to-end experiences and solve meaningful customer problems — from ideating through prototyping and user testing to bringing features live.

• Focus building out the writing craft and standards in English as a foundational language for localization. Design human-centered solutions using language that scales across markets and locales. Set the standards for how experiences should look, read and feel.

• Discover and identify opportunities to make our Personio products more powerful and usable

• Act as a customer advocate throughout the design process

• Able to demonstrate as well as explain creative content and relevant design work that you have planned, led, and realised.
• Experience establishing voice and tone guidelines, selecting and writing for design components, and defining content patterns for digital experiences
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with 3+ years of professional writing experience
• Strong knowledge of content strategy, such as information architecture, including defining terminology and creating and maintaining word lists
• Demonstrable knowledge of writing for and working with localization to ensure consistent product communication across markets and languages
• Experience in explaining design/copy rationales, building common understanding, delivering on opportunities to use content to shape user experiences
• Ability to facilitate and communicate clearly, set stakeholder expectations and share knowledge as well as insights.
• Expertise in a range of UX writing skills built from either brand, marketing, product marketing, or editorial experience and a track record in human-centered storytelling
