Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

As the Product Manager for this group, you are the product leader owning payments, pricing and fraud systems supporting all of the revenue for the company.

  • You lead the long term strategy for payments, fraud prevention, and how users all over the world purchase on the platform. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, rapidly growing payments to new providers and platforms, international pricing and purchasing systems and optimization, and building extraordinary fraud and abuse defenses across the platform.
  • You drive innovation in ways in which creators can improve their earnings by making it easy and safe to transact on the platform. You lead the end to end experience of bringing Robux into the system and paying developers out.
  • You will handle payment and fraud operations leading a team of operators and analysts.

If you are an entrepreneurial product leader, who doesn’t hesitate to propose high-reaching ideas and put them into action, you’ll be a great fit. Roblox is an outstanding ecosystem. Fraud playbooks don’t necessarily work here. The ideal candidate is hands-on, creative, data obsessed and has acute attention to detail.

This role is based in San Mateo, CA (no remote option) and reports to the Sr. Director Product, Monetization and Payments.

You Will:

  • Drive the product strategy and vision for an innovative Payments and Fraud platform on Roblox, leading the industry in defining ways in which users and developers can seamlessly transact on this platform.
  • Have full responsibility for developing features and capabilities to facilitate payments, lead and minimize Roblox’s exposure to fraud and abuse
  • Partner with other product, design, engineering and business partners at Roblox, and drive strategic alignment. Enroll other teams into your product vision and align roadmaps to ensure cohesive product functionality and value proposition.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to define scope, review technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorming, then take these early ideas and iterate, experiment, and build
  • Balance and prioritize new features with existing backlog initiatives and align them with the product vision.
  • Represent payments and fraud team in executive reviews and company wide updates

You Have:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with expertise in the payments, pricing and / or fraud space
  • A consistent track record of aligning teams and prioritizing features/resources to deliver an excellent product
  • High-reaching drive: Worked in a fast paced environment, with bold priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, development, through to launch. Strong opinions and a willingness to make calls with limited information. A high degree of self-direction and a get stuff done demeanor.
  • Technical approach: delving into the product, platform and implementation details. Ability to engage with engineering to design scalable and extensible solutions.
  • Data-driven approach: Proficiency identifying, defining, tracking and acting upon metrics. Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing methods. Experience identifying critical metrics and working with engineering and analytics on instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: Ability to convey strategies, priorities, and tradeoffs at the 30K foot level, as well as produce clear and detailed product and technical specifications
