The Product Management team drives Asana’s product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. Our mission is to define the Work Management category and invent new ways for teams to work efficiently and purposefully. You'll lead the development and implementation of AI-driven products, working closely with stakeholders across engineering, data science, and business teams. This team thrives on collaboration and strategic thinking, enabling you to effectively translate business objectives into actionable product requirements and meticulously direct the product roadmap.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you'll achieve

  • Define and prioritize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and formulate impactful user stories.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Partner with development teams for successful product delivery, actively engaging in sprint processes.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on progress and challenges.
  • Stay updated on AI advancements, conducting market research to identify integration opportunities.
  • Test AI models rigorously to ensure robustness and efficiency.

About you

  • Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in product management within the AI or machine learning domain.
  • Understand AI and machine learning concepts alongside privacy regulations and data governance.
  • Know AI concepts like LLMs, Agentic workflows, RAG, and vector databases.
  • Communicate effectively and simplify complex technical requirements.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $173,000-$209,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
