Within the Merchant Services team, the Marketplaces team is committed to making commerce better for everyone by offering solutions to help our merchants to sell on all marketplaces so they operate and grow their businesses anywhere they want to sell. The goal is to power thousands of marketplaces and provide a multi-channel commerce platform to our merchants.
In this role, you will be part of the Product Operations team and the scope of responsibilities will range from optimizing day-to-day operations within a product area to carrying out high-priority initiatives. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive high impact and cross-functional projects to build a scalable operational framework that helps generate product growth, improve efficiencies, and provide our merchants with a superior experience.
In this role you will:
Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and teams across Shopify to help build and manage scalable and efficient operational processes to support our financial products
Develop and maintain operational assets to serve as a resource for our team to create a standard for how we operate
Use dashboards and other data sources to help monitor operational metrics and identify opportunities to achieve operational excellence
Collaborate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Help ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies
Be able and willing to solve complex cross-functional problems
Be a subject matter expert for your product area and use your expertise to help support partners
Help monitor the health of controls and escalate risks when necessary
Assist with activities related to the daily operations of your product area, including special projects
You are a partner in the problem solving process and are able to collaborate with the team and stakeholders to drive intended outcomes
You’re highly organized, have great attention to detail, and you take pride in the work that you do
You have excellent communication and written skills - you’re able to clearly and concisely communicate to various audiences
You have working knowledge of Google Sheets/Slides or equivalent applications and you enjoy working with data
You approach new challenges with no ego and without feeling above any task
You have experience working in Fintech, operations, or both
You are adaptable and can balance competing priorities
You enjoy being part of a team and always look for ways to contribute but also manage well independently
You are eager to learn and thrive on working in a digital environment
