About the role

You'll report to the Chief Product Officer  and establish the practice of Product Ops function at Turo. As a leader of this new function, your priority is coordination between the international teams and product development. You will work with each country representative to under specific needs and craft the strategy to maximize leverage . You’ll also build understanding and relationship with product leaders to ensure the right specialized product teams understand regional and global needs. On a typical day, you’ll discuss the regional product needs of Turo’s global car sharing platform, review the progress of international-impacting projects and collaborate on strategies to maximize global impact of the Turo product. As Turo expands to new markets, you will be a vital contributor to ensure the product is immediately suited to the regional needs. Additionally, this role will set the standards and growth trajectory for the product operations team in the future.

What you’ll do:

  • Radically improving coordination between International market area and product that drive great customer and business outcomes 
  • Develop a deep understanding of market-specific needs and metrics
  • Develop key trusted relationships with international and product teams
  • Be an influential leader in our International team, and help craft a compelling long-term International product strategy
  • Partner with product, engineering, design, data and research to ensure projects are well-defined, high impact, and successfully executed
  • Guide solutions that deliver successful International business outcomes
  • Work closely with International operational leadership to define and improve policies, processes and technology
  • Establish best practices for product ops and identifying additional domains in which product ops will have maximum impact

What we’re looking for: 

  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Experience as a senior Product Ops leader
  • Strong analytical background to understand how to leverage data to influence business decisions
  • Ability to build trust, interact globally with all levels of the organization and able to effectively communicate and influence team members and/or partners across cultures
  • Desire and interest in working frequently with product organization
  • Exceptional communication skills-written, verbal, presentation, and meeting facilitation
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and resolution skills
  • Interest and willingness to travel globally
  • Outstanding organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Experience working cross-functionally to drive strategy, vision, and execution
