Hey 👋 I’m Kristin, the Head of Marketing at Pinpoint.

We’re a high-growth, bootstrapped HR-tech start-up building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent.

Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, 100%+ growth per year, strong product-market fit, and happy customers. In 2023, we plan to 1) double our revenue—again; and 2) set the foundation for future growth by building a brand that our audience knows, likes, and trusts. So I’m expanding our team.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager or Senior Manager who will help us bring the story of our product to life and build our brand in a crowded space.

We’ll be a small team (me + 2 open roles), there’s a lot to do, and we need someone who can join us and start making a significant impact fast.

Key responsibilities:

  • Segmented messaging—work with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to develop industry-specific positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.
  • Content strategy—develop a deep understanding of our buyers and their pain points, then plan and execute content that will resonate at every step of the buying journey.
  • Sales enablement—create internal- and external-facing sales enablement materials, such as web pages, slide decks, and PDF one-pagers.
  • Product-led content creation—dive into our internal data to help understand what our most successful customers are doing right, then use those insights to develop content with actionable advice for our customers and prospects.
  • Competitor intelligence—track and share updates, maintain our knowledge base, and write internal- & external-facing materials.
  • Feature launches—including messaging, go-to-market plan, and coordination across internal teams.
  • Marketing site—ensure the messaging and content tell a compelling story of our product.
  • Customer interviews—work with Customer Success to identify our most engaged & successful customers, interview them, and translate their stories into case studies, videos, product-led content, and podcast episodes.
A few things to note before you apply:
  • You'll be our only product marketer so we won't have a playbook waiting for you. You'll need to know how to get stuff done, make good decisions, and learn fast.
  • We’re sales-led, not product-led.
  • You’ll be expected to do a lot of writing in this role—writing core messaging, writing sales materials, and writing web pages. We have a small budget for freelancers but you’ll be doing most of the writing on your own.
  • This is an extremely crowded space and we have to be 1% more creative than our competitors. We cannot succeed by doing the same things everyone else is doing.
  • This is primarily a remote role. Our HQ is in Jersey, UK but we built the company to be remote-first and have a distributed remote team across the UK and US.

If this is the right role for you:

  • You likely have 3-5+ years of experience in product marketing. You’ll tell us what we should be doing, not the other way around.
  • You have strong opinions about what good B2B marketing looks like.
  • You write like you talk. You’re a versatile writer who’s comfortable copywriting for the website one day, then building a Sales deck the next day.
  • Ideally you’ll have some experience collaborating with specialists/freelancers to produce longform written content, podcasts, and/or video. You’re able to plan content in these formats and work with the specialists to produce high-quality assets.
  • You want to work in a small team where it’s on you to deliver what needs to be done.
  • You love speaking with customers and engaging with the broader industry.
  • You can execute as well as plan—that could mean trawling review sites to better understand our competitors, spinning up a page in WordPress, or creating the launch strategy for a new feature.
  • You’re based in the UK, Europe, or on the East Coast of Canada or the USA.

We'll expect a lot from you, but in return you'll:

  • Grow your career, fast.
  • Work with people who care about quality and speed in equal measure.
  • Work fully remotely, with paid travel to meet up with your colleagues in person a few times per year.
  • Make a meaningful, measurable contribution to the revenue number (and make a real life impact on how companies hire).
  • Be part of a business where everyone understands the value of marketing.
  • Get the support you need to do a great job (MacBook Pro, the software you need, professional development budget, regular 1:1s, etc).
  • Get access to senior managers across the business, whenever you want.
  • Have unlimited holidays (minimum requirement of 21 days per year).
  • Be able to work where and when you want (as long as you’re getting the job done).
  • Get top of the line healthcare for you and your family.
  • Get a meaningful equity allocation.
