If you’re ready to join a fast-growing, high-impact company that’s reimagining resource management, then let’s talk.

About the role

Dayshape is a single-product company that’s grown rapidly from start-up to scale-up. We are a unique, powerful product, but our space is increasingly competitive and we need to stay in pole position. As we develop the product, partner with other solutions such as Workday, and move into new verticals, product marketing is critical to support our growth.  You’ll collaborate with the wider team to showcase how great our product is, make sure the market knows it too and help enable our sales team on the available product marketing materials.

This is a hands-on role responsible for executing the product marketing plan and activities that enable our audiences to understand Dayshape's USPs and inspire them to buy. In doing so, you will contribute to the overall achievement of the marketing team’s objectives and, ultimately, Dayshape’s pipeline growth.

Your day-to-day could look like any mix of; creating sales enablement materials and market-facing assets, developing value proposition and messaging, analysing industry and competitive research and positioning, conducting win-loss interviews, and building relationships with industry influencers. As an expert on the market and the capabilities of our platform, you will be responsible for sharing insights internally to enhance the broader company's understanding of our position in the market and our USPs.

What you'll do

  • Act as a conduit between product and our commercial teams to ensure our product is showcased to best effect to prospects and customers.
  • Market research: conduct win/loss reviews, customer interviews and analyst relations.
  • Messaging development: Create and maintain compelling, differentiated value propositions and product messaging for new and existing markets and features.
  • Competitor intel: Collate, analyse and disseminate information to the business
  • Work with marketing leadership to develop the product marketing strategy and plan, including new product launches where required.
  • Create engaging product marketing content in appropriate formats suitable for a range of channels that showcases Dayshape’s USPs.
  • Manage our presence on relevant software review sites globally to ensure they are maximized to help attract inbound leads.
  • Sales enablement: Work with the commercial teams and broader marketing team to develop content that supports quality commercial conversations.
  • Marketing performance analysis: Monitor and report on product marketing initiatives make recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all material/collateral remains on brand and on message.
  • Budget and agency management where required.

 About you

  • Strong product marketing experience - B2B SaaS highly preferred.
  • Understanding of B2B sales cycles – particularly product marketing requirements through high value, low volume sales pipelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with proven storytelling skills and the ability to translate technical information into impactful, high level marketing messaging
  • Highly adept at cross-functional collaboration and senior stakeholder management. Comfortable holding colleagues to account on deliverables whilst maintaining strong relationships.
  • Experienced at – and comfortable with – interviewing customers and prospects, assimilating information into actionable insights.
  • Experience using marketing automation platforms - HubSpot preferred.
  • Self-motivated and organised, you act at the appropriate pace by balancing importance and urgency and seeking support from management and colleagues when needed.

 Bonus points if you have

  • Knowledge of professional services organisations, particularly accounting firms
  • A background in resource management, ERP, PSA or PPM software
  • Knowledge of April Dunford’s methodologies - we’re big fans!

 What you’ll get

  • Salary c.£45,000-58,000 depending on experience
  • At least £1,000 per year to spend on professional and personal development
  • 33 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days
  • Paid four-week sabbatical in your fifth anniversary year on top of your holiday entitlement
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • Private healthcare and rewards through Vitality

  • Regular All Hands meeting for inspiration and over-communication
  • Time out of the working week for team socials each month, with a mix of in-person and virtual options: past events include hiking, family BBQs, board games and at-home cocktail classes!
  • Genuinely nice, smart people to work with, who are excited about growing our company

Working Details

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.

We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, though we’re open to the possibility of this being a remote role for candidates in the North of England. We operate a hybrid working model, and although we don't mandate office time, most Edinburgh-based employees come to the office twice a week to collaborate and connect in person.

Join the team!

Equality of opportunity is more than just a responsibility: we believe it’s a huge advantage to welcome a variety of experiences and perspectives into the team. Diversity is a great asset and, as such, we strongly encourage applications from any background.

This is your opportunity to really influence how we get things done, and how the marketing team can positively impact our company’s ambitious growth goals. We're doing well, but there's lots more to do to maintain the high bar and pace that we've set.

Everyone here is growing personally as the company grows, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to see your application.

The deadline for applications is Monday 28th July at 12pm. Initial interviews will take place shortly after this.
