Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a passionate Product Manager to create a world class collaboration & productivity experience for everyone at Tencent Overseas. Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, you’ll be responsible for delivering physical and digital workplace experiences that empower our employees. At the intersection of Product, UX & Technology, you will envision, design and implement grounded and future-proof roadmaps by understanding & balancing user & business needs, current and emerging technical constraints & capabilities to enable a global workforce to work and collaborate anytime, anywhere.

With a strong technical background, a deep understanding of our technology stack, and a keen eye on our strategy and goals, you will help us evaluate and deliver new technology solutions and continue to evolve and improve our existing offerings. You will use your technical expertise and strong understanding of our business partners’ needs to build out and prioritize requirements.  You will have some technical engineering work on your plate, but your primary focus will be ensuring that the engineering, vendor, and business teams are all aligned to enable us to move quickly to deliver amazing experiences to our employees regardless of where they are.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with stakeholders such as IT, HR, Facility and business teams to translate opportunities & challenges into requirements, deliver capabilities that address pain points and elevate employee experience
  • Help envision and evolve the employee experience technology ecosystem strategy & roadmap based on user needs, business drivers, application capabilities and security requirements
  • Develop and manage product backlogs. Recommend prioritization trade-off’s based on resource & time constraints, maximizing return on investment and long term value
  • Serve as the “communication glue” that connects project managers, solution architects, engineers, vendors, business partners and operations team to ensure smooth delivery of technical capabilities, projects and product enhancements
  • Articulate application & platform benefits from user centric view. Tell story through facts & data to influence and inform stakeholders & customers. Build compelling product & experience to “sell” to our customers to drive adoption
  • Intake and evaluate new & existing technology solutions to ensure they’re solving the right business problems and will integrate with our current ecosystem, aligning with our strategy and roadmap
  • Build, simplify and document process flow to visualize, enhance & connect employee experience with underlying technology
  • Help elevate product management practice and implement product management framework
  • Coordinate and execute proof of concepts, testing (integration, UAT, usability, etc) to collect user feedback and extract insights to inform product decisions
  • Design framework and implement automation to collect and report product metrics, aligning metrics to outcome and decisions to metrics
  • Work with project managers and operation teams to transition projects into BAU operations

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years technical experience with workplace technology such as messaging, collaboration and productivity tools (e.g. M365/Google Workspace/Slack/Atlassian/Asana/Video conferencing & streaming/Meeting Room technologies, etc)
  • 10+ years experience in technical roles that require strong communication, partnership and relationship building
  • Previous product management or product ownership as a technical lead, technical manager or technology owner
  • Vendor management and SaaS experience
  • Proven track record delivering employee workplace technology solutions in a fast-paced environment, preferably for a rapidly growing company or start-up like environment
  • Experience building service catalog
  • Experience integrating multiple platforms to form a cohesive employee facing ecosystem
  • Strong understanding and awareness of existing and emerging workplace technology solutions
  • Think strategically while being hands on. Willingness to play multiple roles based on team needs.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with little supervision
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers, customers and management.
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills. Strong procedural documentation skills.
  • Organization skills and the ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred but not required
  • Experience in game development company a strong plus
  • ITIL v3/4 foundation, service design, service delivery management experience a plus
  • Slack certified administrator qualification preferred
  • Relevant industry professional certifications such as Microsoft MCSA s, Amazon, JAMF, and Google a plus.
