Founded in 2017, OVRSEA currently supports +700 clients from its offices in Paris, New York, Barcelona, Milano and will double its workforce by the end of 2022.
The Product Team :
Our Product team is the armed wing of OVRSEA's vision: our tools will revolutionize international freight transport! Our Product Managers are discoverers of solutions in a market that is not very digitalized. They provide our customers with new solutions for transport management and enable our Operations teams to be the most efficient on the market.
The team's challenges in 2023 :
- Develop our Hermes client product for large accounts
- Open international offices and adapt our internal products
- Build new products (stock vision, Net Zero Initiative, customs management, supplier interface, etc.) and explore new value streams (automatic document reading, etc.)
- But also, at the level of our organization: annual strategy, ProductOps, DesignOps structuring... and many others!
Job description :
As a PM intern, we will train you on the Product best practices, from user research to monitoring your features, writing specs and collaborating with the devs.
Product Managers are autonomous at Ovrsea and intervene at all levels: they are operational on the whole of their perimeter, but they also bring a strategic vision for the quarterly roadmaps. After a few months of internship, and depending on the level you will have reached, you will be able to have your own scope, and bring a real proposal force on it.

- Our 2 products : Hermes (for our external customers) and Atlas (our internal product) with their respective specificities and challenges.
Our Product organization is a product for us : we contribute to improve it every month with a retrospective and a training session organized by a PM.
Finally, we have the privilege of building a product in a market that is not very digitalized and complex. We are therefore pioneers in the field and the challenge is extremely interesting !
Here are the missions we offer you (non-exhaustive list) :
Product Ops (60%) :
Your task here will be to do some product work internal stakeholders : other Product Managers, Operations, Sales etc
You will work as a regular Product Manager, using our product philosophy :
- Discover
- Iterate and deliver
- Monitor the performance of our features and improve them (or remove them if needed)
- Inform our users about new products and spread the product culture at OVRSEA!
- You will furthermore learn how other department works & how to work with numerous stakeholders
Product Issues (30%) :
Here you will focus on delivering value to our users on small topics, using nevertheless the product strategy :
Discover :
- Discover and prioritize the hottest issues through frequent user interviews (user research, demo participation, customer calls)
- Identify behaviors, trends and blocking points through analysis of our data (Heap, Metabase)
- Monitor industry news, competitor news, and product practices
Deliver :
- Write specs for new features and model them
- Work with Engineers & Designers to build the best product solutions
- Monitor the performance of our features and improve them (or remove them if needed)
- Inform our users about new products and spread the product culture at OVRSEA !
Strategy (10%) :
- Feed back the various insights gathered (user interviews, fieldwork, data, competitive intelligence, etc.) to feed the Product Strategy
- Participate in prioritization meetings for the next quarters' projects
- Pushing for ideas to improve our processes
