You will be a key member of firsthand’s product & technology teams, owning product initiatives related to firsthand’s clinical and social value delivery levers. We are looking for a collaborative & outcomes-driven product manager that is willing to ship iteratively while moving strategically. You will enable the best care possible for the individuals we serve by empowering teams with technology and insights. As a member of our technology team, you will support our team of peers, social workers, and nurse practitioners to identify the most impactful community and clinical activities that result in enduring clinical and financial results for firsthand’s clients. This is a full-time, salaried, and virtual position.
As a Product Manager, you will:
- Identify and define problems using continuous discovery techniques to build a deep understanding of firsthand’s Medicare and Medicaid value creation processes
- Utilize a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches to scope opportunities for impact across firsthand’s value-creation processes
- Prioritize opportunities and lead initiatives that will drive meaningful outcomes related to firsthand’s key value levers
- Partner closely with clinical, operational, tech, and community teams to manage the end-to-end and continuous delivery of technology-enabled solutions
- Influence company strategy and direction by mapping workflows, creating product strategy documents, constructing thoughtful analyses, and writing high-quality requirements that make identifying clear next steps easy
You will be a good fit if you have:
- Deep understanding of and experience utilizing product development concepts
- Interest in mental health and serious mental illness (SMI)High-level understanding of value-based care and risk adjustment concepts (bonus points for familiarity with HCC, CDPS, and/or ACG models)
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionality and drive impact across multiple team structures (e.g. community care teams & corporate technology teams)
- Self-starter mindset and a bias towards action
- Bonus (not required): experience building solutions that drive care team collaboration
The experience you bring to this role includes:
- 2-4 years of experience in a product management role
- 3+ years of industry experience in healthcare (bonus points for experience in population health, risk adjustment, care delivery, and/or tech-enabled services!)
- Comfort with using tools like (but not limited to) Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL, to construct data analyses
- Comfort with EHRs, population health, case management, revenue cycle management, and risk adjustment tools (not required, but encouraged)
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position reporting to the Senior Product Manager. firsthand cares deeply about ensuring pay equity with every team member who joins. The expected range for this role’s base salary is $110,000 to $130,000.
