About the Role
The mission of the Finance product and strategy team at Kraken is to help make sure the company can maintain complete awareness and control of financial assets on the platform.  As a global business with multiple product lines, Kraken has diverse set of operations and reporting needs.  This product domain works closely with our data, accounting, tax, treasuring, and other finance teams.  The team typically focuses on process automation, internal tooling efficiencies instead of direct customer experiences, but the roadmap has a significant impact in Kraken’s ability to expand and operate at scale, and deliver a world class experience to clients expecting the best.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate requirements for new and existing back office Finance and Tax products or features
  • Coordinate with cross-functional and global teams to serve the betterment of clients, internal teams, and company objectives
  • Clearly document and drive group alignment around product features to enable efficient roadmap execution
  • Articulate metrics, requirements, goals, and features to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of assigned initiatives
  • Stay on top of regulatory developments, industry trends and internal initiatives to drive better decisions

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years as a project manager, product owner or product manager
  • 1-2+ years in a finance or fintech related role
  • A strong analytical and metrics driven approach to create substantiated solutions, including familiarity with SQL, sheets and data visualization tools
  • Ability to define and track to OKR’s, KPI’s and other key business metrics
  • Ability to Prioritize work to efficiently deliver value to stakeholders
  • Superb organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to execute independently and work with team members of all levels
  • A mindset to deliver results proactively, resourcefully and methodically
  • Macro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with a keen attention to detail
  • Well-rounded interpersonal skills, and experience interacting with diverse personalities
  • Outstanding organization skills of JIRA, Confluence, Product and Project Documentation with a focus on ensuring systems/applications are auditable
  • Deep understanding of Product management principles and best practices that focus on solving client needs first, using sustainable efficient solutions, and keeping strong awareness and ownership of the impact on key business objectives.

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of and passion for the cryptocurrency exchange space
  • Prior crypto, trading, gaming, banking or fintech relevant experience is required
  • 2+ Years of Experience supporting a Finance Function (Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Etc.)
