We're Checkout.com

Checkout.com is one of the most exciting and valuable fintechs in the world, with our Series D taking our valuation to $40 billion. Our mission is to enable businesses and their communities to thrive in the digital economy. We’re the strategic payments partner for some of the best known fast-moving brands globally such as Wise, Hut Group, Sony Electronics, Homebase, Henkel, Binance, Klarna and many others. Purpose-built with performance and scalability in mind, our flexible cloud-based payments platform helps global enterprises launch new products and create experiences customers love. And it's not just what we build that makes us different. It's how.

We empower passionate problem-solvers to collaborate, innovate and do their best work. That’s why we’re number 9 on the Forbes Cloud 100 list and on Glassdoor’s list of Top 10 fintechs to work for. And we’re just getting started. We’re building diverse and inclusive teams around the world — because that’s how we create even better experiences for our merchants and our partners. And we need your help. So, join us to build tomorrow, today.

Checkout.com is seeking a Product Manager to Join our Disputes product team in our London office. Our passion is to change the world of online payments and the Product team sits at the heart of achieving our ambitious vision and goals.

Although not the most known part of payments, Disputes (also called Chargebacks) play a significant role in it. They can significantly affect the viability of a business if not managed properly and just last year, we helped our customers manage over half a million of them.

The challenge is big but our Product mission is simple. We want merchants to focus on growing their business, not managing disputes. With it comes the need to build an offering to match our mission.

To get there will be a journey, where we will need to scale our existing products as well as launch new ones. As a Product Manager, you can expect to work hand-in-hand with our development team as well as our stakeholders to drive forward changes that benefit our customers and help checkout on its growth path.

About You:

  • 2+ years designing and delivering API driven products as a product manager
  • Ability to input into technical requirements
  • Experience in working with both internal and external stakeholders to understand their problems, and clearly communicate those back to the team
  • Passionate for understanding and solving customer problems (the big ones and the small ones, always digging into the “why”)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment
  • A positive and entrepreneurial mindset. Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Ability to work and contribute with cross-functional teams by always adapting your communication according to their expertise and context
  • Ability to develop and defend strong points of view with data, analytics and the voice of the customer
  • Experience working with Agile teams

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ownership of products across their entire lifecycle
  • Development story writing, participation in team ceremonies, removing requirement blockers for developers
  • Provide ongoing support to the Product Leader
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial to understand Customer needs
  • Maintain the product roadmap in collaboration with Product Leaders
  • Collecting, understanding and conveying business requirements for given projects
  • Finding and communicating solutions to large and/or complex needs
  • Producing business and functional requirements as well as inputting into technical requirements
  • To develop, optimise & document business processes
  • To conduct day to day management of formal change requests in relation to changes in project scope
  • Highlight, report and manage project risks & issues
