Product Designer job at Rain

Rain’s mission is to create the fastest and easiest pathways for web3 teams to spend crypto in the real world. We’re a small and mighty team of passionate builders and veteran founders. We are looking for a product designer to join us to build at the cutting edge of the intersection of crypto and fintech. You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a small and quickly growing company that is funded by some of the top investors in fintech and crypto; you would be joining at the earliest possible time. Many of our team members are based in NYC but we are open to fully remote candidates.

What you’ll do

Drive and execute quality design projects; where you’ll work closely with our operations, and engineering teammates
Advocate for users and customers from a design perspective, balancing business and technical constraints with user experience goals
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive offerings and how they impact consumer choices and preferences, and how they should influence our product features
Identify and eliminate design inconsistencies
Define and establish key product design metrics
Champion accessibility and inclusivity at the design system level

What we’re looking for

Experience with usability studies, testing, research, market, and competitive analysis
Highly Experienced with UX/UI prototyping software (Figma preferred, but Sketch, Invision, Illustrator, Adobe suite OK too)
Self-starter who gets things done, but also thrives in a collaborative team environment
You have the ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
Having an understanding of what makes an experience good or bad is critical
You can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions, mock them up in detail, and work with engineers to build them
