We’re looking for an amazing Product Designer to help us grow and maintain 'Buffet', our design system. You are comfortable across the full spectrum of design system-related work: from creating scalable pixel-perfect UI components and UX patterns to writing guidelines and meticulously documenting and triaging every bit of work that comes in. You passionately evangelize accessibility and advocate UX best practices.
You are a team player who partners well with both design and engineering colleagues. You have a keen eye for detail without ever losing sight of the bigger picture: to create a holistic, coherent, and delightful end-to-end customer experience across all our products. Designing patterns specific to iOS, Android, or Web is second nature to you. You bring teams together, aligning, advising, and empowering them to do their best work and help them deliver high-quality on-brand products faster.
About this roll* (responsibilities):
- Collaborate with designers, engineers and product managers to maintain and grow our design system for our web, Android and iOS experiences
- Design delightful, scalable, on-brand, platform-appropriate components, patterns, and layouts
- Align on UI and UX patterns with designers and engineers
- Monitor performance of existing patterns and iterate over time where necessary
- Hold regular reviews to ensure consistency across products
- Triage contributions to the system together with the core Design Systems Team
- Write guidelines and documentation by partnering with key stakeholders
- Provide regular communication of changes, new patterns and components
- Evangelize for adoption of our design system
Do you have the right ingredients*? (requirements):
- Significant experience with Design Systems
- Background in native mobile system design strongly preferred
- Expert understanding of visual and interaction design principles
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices, designing for a global audience and technical understanding of building design systems
- Rich understanding of end-to-end product design processes
- Proactive with capacity to handle high work volume and balance multiple projects at once
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Fluency in Figma and Adobe CC.
- Enduring sense of curiosity with a desire to continuously learn and evolve
- Bonus: experience using Zeroheight and motion design skills
