About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe is a technology company that builds economic infrastructure for the internet. Businesses of every size—from new startups to public companies—use our software to accept payments and manage their businesses online.

Product Operations builds the connective tissue between product and user-facing teams, increasing leverage, so that Stripe can ultimately deliver more value to more users, faster.

We’re looking for a leader to build new programs and support embedded Product Operations Managers in our Financial Services Business organization, initially focused on the Cards and Payments Performance & Fraud product areas. As a manager, you will support your team members working day to day to smoothly operationalize product betas/launches, and accelerate product improvement by streamlining information channels between user-facing teams and their product/engineering team.

You will align with product and engineering leaders to properly meet the operational needs of their products and businesses, and act as an owner yourself for defining and building the operational architecture for executing on certain highly impactful projects. You will focus on developing careers, setting vision and ambitious goals, fostering a collaborative environment, sharing best practices, providing hands-on coaching and mentorship for your reports, making priority and resource allocation trade-offs, and hiring.

A successful manager has experience leading teams and initiatives that span engineering and go-to-market teams. They are able to distill complexity into clarity, and will think deeply about change management and motivations of stakeholders. They are able to influence without authority and help coalesce groups around shared goals.

This is a highly cross-functional role, and it will be a critical lever for us to deliver on our mission to increase the GDP of the internet.

What you'll do

  • Manage and continue to build a team of Product Operations Managers embedded in the Cards and Payments Performance & Fraud product areas, supporting individuals across multiple locations through performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching, and career growth
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to build great programs and ensure confidence in product launches, from organizational planning to product launch readiness
  • Lead highly strategic projects for the broader Financial Services Business organization, partnering with product and engineering teams to ultimately improve how we bring new products to market
  • Define the Product Operations support model for dedicated product areas within Financial Services Business
