What you will do

As the Head of Product from Booking to Return, you’ll be responsible for the diner’s journey, from the moment they have booked a dining experience until the moment they want to come back to our world.

No pressure, but your responsibility will be huge. Your 4 teams will work on topics that are all recent or new in the TheFork app, including payment & social.

You won’t be alone to face this challenge: you’ll be part of a trio with Alberto, Head of Product Design, and Giuseppe, Head of Product Engineering. You'll report directly to Riccardo, Product Director of the Diner Experience tribe.

Driving the strategic impact of the product

As a Product team, it’s fairly easy to forget about the big picture and concentrate only on local optimum. You’ll have to keep your 4 PMs (Lisan, Andrea, Francesca and Isabelle) focused on their strategic impact, from goal setting & discovery, to delivery & impact. You’ll be there to remind them that building a consistent experience for the different jobs-to-be-done is key.

In this task, you’ll be helped by your own trio and your manager, but also by the members of the Diner experience group: a UX researcher, a content designer, UX and UI consistency leads, and the design system team.

Refining the organization & ways of working to ensure people’s success

At TheFork, we deeply believe that professional success doesn’t necessarily rhyme with management. The individual contributor track, in other terms craftsmanship, should have the same value in terms of compensation, recognition and learning opportunities. You’ll be asked to help your direct reports define and calibrate their growth trajectories on the track that is the most adapted for their success.

You’ll also participate in the evolution of our ways of working. An organization is like a product: it’s never perfect and thus constantly evolving. At TheFork, we don’t rely on one “by the book” methodology, but we prefer to bet on strong principles. That’s why we mix Opportunity trees with the 6-week cycle windows from Shape Up, or fine-tuned RICE to make it less solution-focused.

Who you are

  • You have 7+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in B2C with a big mobile app component.
  • You love managing people and acknowledge it’s a full-time job.
  • You mix product thinking, data & behavior analysis, to drive user engagement.
  • You have no problem being wrong - that’s what testing is all about, isn’t it?
  • You are comfortable building relationships with Marketing & Data, and are able to make them understand why we won't do / focus on things.
  • You like talking to customers or potential customers.
  • You're fluent in English. Another European language (Italian, French, Spanish) is a big, big plus.

Ps: Mastering a gluten, dairy and egg free cookie recipe is also a significant plus for the CPO. (That doesn't mean you have to bring it to the interview to bribe him. But still, it can be cool).

You can work (by order of preference)  in Milan, Turin, Paris or Barcelona.
