The Opportunity:

Roblox is one of the most influential platforms at the intersection of gaming, social connection, and immersive entertainment. As we continue to grow our global audience and expand across platforms, we are seeking a visionary Head of Product for Consumer Apps to lead the evolution of the core Roblox experience.

This is a pivotal executive leadership role focused on delivering best-in-class product performance, usability, and innovation across all platforms—mobile, console, XR, and web. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a multi-platform product strategy that brings Roblox to life for hundreds of millions of users worldwide, with the polish,performance, and feature set expected of top-tier consumer gaming and entertainment apps.

This role reports to the VP of Product, User + Discovery Groups and is based in San Mateo, CA.  

You Will:

  • Define and drive the product vision and  strategy for the Roblox consumer application across all supported devices - mobile, desktop, console, XR, and web. Balance building for universal, cross-platform consistency, while also delivering a seamless, high-performance, and engaging experience that feels tailored to each device.

  • Set and execute the roadmap for Roblox’s multi-platform presence, including next-gen console support (e.g., PS5), mobile performance optimization, web architecture improvements, and XR innovation.

  • Champion platform-specific optimization—load times, app size, UI frame rates—so the Roblox experience is as performant and responsive as the world’s leading gaming apps.

  • Lead product development for our universal core consumer-facing UI, navigation systems, and frontend architecture, enabling intuitive exploration, discovery, and gameplay across use cases.

  • Scale and empower a high-caliber team of product managers; foster a culture of speed, experimentation, technical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Partner closely with engineering and design to develop and deploy universal, shared code foundations (C++, Luau, React), supporting Roblox’s mission of platform universality and extensibility.

  • Deliver on Roblox’s ambition to be the most performant and delightful entertainment platform, meeting and exceeding the expectations of a global gaming audience.

  • Communicate roadmap, progress, and strategy to the Roblox executive team and align key stakeholders across the company.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of product leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on gaming, entertainment, or large-scale consumer platforms.

  • A growth GM mindset - not only owning the product strategy and roadmap, but acting as the driving force behind the quality, performance, and growth of the app across platforms and devices. Obsess over usability, technical excellence, and key metrics. Think holistically about what it takes to win on each platform—from product design, controls, and UX to partnerships, content strategy, and go-to-market execution. Influence cross-functional priorities to ensure long-term success for the product, users, and the broader Roblox ecosystem.

  • A track record of building and scaling multi-platform products—including mobile apps, console-native clients, and web-based platforms.

  • Experience leading product organizations supporting real-time, interactive, or immersive consumer experiences.

  • Strong understanding of frontend system architecture and design systems at scale, including component libraries, universal code bases, and platform abstractions.

  • Deep fluency in product performance and technical architecture as it relates to game engines, client-server interactions, and cross-platform optimization.

  • Executive presence and leadership maturity—able to build high-trust relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and represent the consumer product org across the company.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for building 0-to-1 product experiences in fast-moving, experimental environments.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience leading product for gaming platforms, entertainment ecosystems, or social applications at scale.

  • Prior involvement with universal app architectures, deep linking, or native app optimization on platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, or mobile OS.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$534,080$568,120 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
