Your future team
Our University Technology and Engineering team is comprised of people with backgrounds in engineering and product management, supporting a team of instructional designers and trainers. We develop platforms and integrate systems to help Atlassian users understand complex problems.
We're hiring a Enterprise Product Owner for our customer training tools, reporting to the Engineering Manager for Customer Learning. Here, you'll be the technical product owner of Atlassian University's data services and commerce tools that support our learner experience and support Atlassian users on their learning journey. You will team with your colleagues to define the end-to-end learning experience and will work with the dev team to prioritize projects.
You'll oversee and recommend the technology strategy and architecture for learner data and commerce systems as part of our customer learning capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Weigh the benefits of addressing system functionality vs. evolving business capability requirements
  • Liaison between business partners and technology leaders
  • Take an enterprise approach to systems design to build for scale
  • Ensure data integrity and security standards from design to production
  • Manage the backlog and prioritization of a dev team squad
  • Develop new microservices from the ground up
  • Ensure the service is operational and cost-efficient -- you build it, you own it

Your background

  • 7+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-scale customer-facing tools
  • Bachelors degree+
  • Experience building high-scale, reliable systems in the cloud.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, Node.js
  • Exposure to software ecosystems, API technology; REST, GraphQL
  • Success building data services and enterprise integrations
  • Understand product management terminology and customer learning use cases.
  • Have experience building conceptual/logical architectures and required artifacts including documentation of such systems/landscapes, and process design documents.
  • Operations experience to support growth into 24x7 SLAs
  • Experience with customer training tools and Atlassian products will help you get started on day 1. You will support the following learning tools:
  • Learning Management Systems (Intellum)
  • Training delivery systems
  • Certification systems
  • Commerce workflows including training credits
  • Financial systems
Compensation
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $185,200 - $284,100
Zone B: $166,700 - $255,700
Zone C: $153,700 - $235,800
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
