The Role:

Splice is looking for a skilled and driven Brand Designer to join our Creative team. In this role you’ll work to support our core brand, initiatives and partnerships, as well as our ever evolving ecosystem of music tools. You will support the Creative team and move quickly and efficiently, in both the work you produce and the speed in which you iterate. Always experimenting, your work is often ephemeral, engaging, and of the moment. Your work will reflect our visual brand and values but at the same time shows where we might go, flexing as needed. This role reports to the Associate Creative Director.

Why Splice?

Music starts at Splice. Splice is cultivating the essential ecosystem for music creation with innovative audio products that inspire and enable artists. With sounds, skills and connected instruments -  Splice is meeting the needs of a new generation of musicians and creators, alongside a diverse and trusted library of over 2 million pre-cleared samples. Splice is a global community of producers, innovators and musicians, offering creative solutions for creative challenges.

Our culture is our community; we hold ourselves and each other accountable as we work to continuously improve,  navigate uncharted territory and change the industry for the better. As artist advocates we seek out diversity in who we hire, represent and how we collaborate, to ensure a more inclusive and open minded reality with access and freedom for all.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design everything from web experiences, video graphics, content-led sub-brands and initiatives, to social-first franchises that elevate the people and stories at the core of our brand.
  • Understand the Splice identity and brand system and support team members across the company in properly applying those elements.
  • Find creative and engaging ways to visualize and explain our ever changing ecosystem of products and features.
  • Collaborate with the creative and editorial teams, and more to successfully implement your work from start to finish.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3–5+ years relevant experience in-house or agency.
  • Ability to translate design systems across multiple platforms
  • Experience working collaboratively with other designers, photographers, and other creative contributors
  • You’re a clear communicator with a strong attention to detail
  • You’re able to storyboard, wireframe, and sketch ideas to effectively relay your thoughts to your collaborators
  • You’re well versed in music or have a love for creator culture
  • You foster strong working relationships with team members and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to engage in brainstorming sessions and constructive design critiques

Nice to haves

  • Do you have other creative passions? We want you to flex those skills! Whether it be motion design, photography, illustration—you name it, we want it.

In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is $74,375 - $95,625.

Equal Opportunity Employer:

Splice is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion. We will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, nationality, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability or age.
