The role
Key responsibilities
Associate Card Product Manager is a vital role within Modulr and will directly impact the growth and scale of the business. Depending on your background and project focus, you will need to be comfortable doing some of the following:
Product Discovery, Roadmap, and Development:
- Work with the Card team and where appropriate across the business to gather and prioritise customer feedback to improve the product.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to outline and define new card products and features.
- In alignment and with support from the Card Product Manager, define product requirements, write user stories, and manage the product backlog.
- Develop documentation and resources to assist with product usage and troubleshooting.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct desktop research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to support product and feature discovery.
- Analyse and present data to the Card Team to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure product features and user stories account for relevant regulations and industry standards by engaging key internal stakeholders across risk and compliance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the product.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyse card product performance metrics (e.g., adoption rates, transaction volumes) to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with card issuing products, including fraud prevention and security measures.
- Work with the Head of Card Issuing and other key stakeholders to plan, implement and monitor risk management strategies.

About you
The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or similar in a high-growth, fast-paced start-up environment.
- Experience with card issuing in UK and, or European contexts, ideally with an understanding of card issuing processes and scheme regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- We are looking for someone who has strong collaborative skills and enjoys working with different functions within the business.
