About the team
Our Goodnotes Meeting Assistant team is at the forefront of developing innovative features that enhance the way users capture and process information. We're looking for a proactive Associate Product Manager to join us in driving our product vision forward.
About the role
As an Associate Product Manager for our Meeting Assistant team, you'll work directly with our Team Lead to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and micro-level execution. You're a self-starter who doesn't wait for instructions. You understand the importance of clear documentation and can navigate the uncertainty of a fast-growing AI product. You're a collaborative communicator who listens to others' opinions while confidently advocating for your ideas when needed. You'll be responsible for turning vision into detailed documentation, managing the backlog, and ensuring smooth communication across teams.
This is the role for you if you’re excited to work on the below:
- Draft Detailed PRDs and Policy Documents: Create comprehensive product requirements based on high-level plans, including specific policies and edge cases that enable our engineering team to execute efficiently.
- Manage Backlog and Sprint Planning: Work closely with a team of 10 engineers to prioritize tasks, plan sprints, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a bridge between engineering, design, data, and marketing teams to resolve bottlenecks and drive projects forward.
- Lead Feature Improvement Initiatives: Initially focus on enhancing key features in our iOS app, then gradually take ownership of improvement cycles for our web project.
The skills you will need to be successful in the above::
- 3+ years of experience in product management within a SaaS product company
- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to structure complex requirements into clear, understandable documents
- Logical, data-driven mindset with the ability to explain the "why" behind features and make data-informed decisions
- Proactive communication skills with the ability to coordinate between teams and confidently lead projects
- Experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Notion
- Background in AI/ML-based product development
- Understanding of iOS or web service development processes
Interview process:
- An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes
- A role-specific call to discuss your background and skillset for this role more in detail, as well as do a live exercise
- A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you, as well as support you throughout your career at Goodnotes
- A meet-the-team call with 2 or 3 Goodpeople you’d be working closely with at Goodnotes
Note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, including verification of employment, education, and criminal records.
