Working Student Product Design - Mobile Apps (m/f/d)

Appinio’s business is based on a highly successful app that uses social media and gamification elements to create an engaging market research experience for consumers. This year, the Appinio app peaked at number 2 in the App Store download charts among all apps in Germany. To keep up with this momentum and to create an outstanding user experience, we are looking for a passionate Working Student Product Design (m/f/d) to join our growing design team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design improvements and features for our apps within the design team by creating wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs
• Gain a deep understanding of our app users' perspective - know their motivations and challenges and ideate on how to turn these insights into features
• Work cross-functionally with developers, product and marketing managers to ensure a high-quality implementation of your designs and to contribute to the overall strategy and decision-making about the product direction
• Some examples of your challenges: A better onboarding experience for new users; rethinking the app's UI design and navigation; finding ways to improve the quality of user content; creating new features to help the app become more engaging; and much more!

YOUR PROFILE

• Ongoing studies in the field of graphic design, information/communication design or equivalent areas
• A portfolio that shows your skills in UX and UI design 
• Good understanding of typography, simplicity, interactions and a systematic approach to design.
• Experience in Figma and prototyping tools
• Understanding of UX design principles, accessibility and the latest design trends
• A convincing yet compromising attitude when it comes to your design 
• Fluency in English
• Additional skills in illustration, animation or 3D would be a plus
