We are looking for a Web UX designer to join our growing Web Marketing team at Databricks. You will report directly to the Sr. Director, Web Marketing.

Who You Are

The UX designer supports databricks.com and reports directly to the Sr. Director, Web Marketing on the web team. You have a customer first and user-centered mindset and take into consideration all user experience touch points and interactions across the buying journey. You like to collaborate and work cross functionally to deliver prototypes, wireframes, interaction guides, user flows and stories, and documentation with the highest standards. You possess a strong understanding of web best practices including accessibility, SEO, localization, IA, analytics and design best practices. You use data to inform your decisions and leverage testing and optimization and competitive analysis to improve UX deliverables.

The impact you will have:

  • Represent the voice of customers and prospects in UX design recommendations including wireframes, user flows, interaction guidelines, and documentation
  • Partner with the brand team (design and content) to incorporate UX best practices into visual design deliverables and style guides
  • Manage UX requests and deliverables and help build processes and hand-offs between brand, production, and web development.
  • Establish site guidelines and standards and help to ensure site stays consistent
  • Perform comparative and competitive analysis and stay informed about latest trends and best practices
  • Perform user testing and usability studies and summarize results and findings
  • Partner with testing and optimization teams to understand user behavior, refine recommendations, and test wireframes
  • Establish UX requirements as part of web projects (e.g. redesigns, new navigation, new pages)
  • Partner with analytics teams to understand user behavior and monitor KPIs to recommend improvements

What we look for:

  • 5+ years in a UX design role supporting web properties
  • Comfortable with Figma and other prototyping tools to provide wifeframe and interaction guidelines
  • usertesting.com experience as well as experience using testing tools like VWO, Optimizely, etc.
  • Experience working with brand, design, content, analytics, and product teams in a matrixed environment
  • A portfolio that shows UX design approach and showcases wireframes, user flows, guidelines, etc.
  • Comfortable to present recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Outstanding data analysis skills. Understanding of qualitative and quantitative web data metrics and how to integrate into UX approach
  • Experience with UX best practices and and modern design trends
