We are looking for a Growth leader who will lead our entire client and talent onboarding flow! As the strategic and organizational leader for Upwork's Growth function, you will guide the product-led growth strategy and execution across our client and talent segments. We are looking for a leader that can create impact through high-velocity experiments of existing levers within the product and discover and develop new levers to unlock the tremendous opportunity in this new era of work. You will report to the VP2, Product Innovation, and Expansion.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of customer needs and pain points. Given the scope and accountability of this role, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to guard and improve the end-to-end customer experience for our clients.
  • Set an overarching growth strategy for Upwork's clients (enterprise and non-enterprise) and talent, both enterprise, and non-enterprise. Your role will span the product-led growth lifecycle, from acquisition to onboarding to activation, and monetization, offering you the potential to impact Upwork on a large scale.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers. You will manage and mentor the existing Client Growth, Enterprise Growth, Talent Growth, and Platform Growth product teams.
  • Enable execution. You will work with partners and the team to create collaboration models and operations to guide high-velocity execution and deliver high-quality insights, working with a distributed engineering team across North America and Europe.
  • Build and leverage partnerships. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, and other product areas and with marketing leadership across the Acquisition, Life Cycle Marketing, and Product Marketing teams. You'll form close cross-functional relationships and ensure powerful collaboration across the Consumer Growth team to achieve extraordinary results together.

  • You have perseverance and acute ownership: This role has General Manager aspects. We take pride in driving outcomes and optimizing end-to-end experiences.
  • Have experience leading consumer growth product strategies and teams.
  • You have strong product experience and a love of creating user-centric product strategies.
  • Have strong analytical skills and an ability to understand business dynamics.
  • Have experience managing and mentoring a team and promoting professional development.
  • You are collaborative and enjoy working in partnership with many areas to identify goals and work together to achieve them.
